I'll see if I can make the various calls and update the list today.

I may or may not depending on the changes. I've seen some suggestions in this thread that I do not like at all...

But will see how it goes  :)

Which of the discussions for change haven't you liked?
Just out of curiosity  ???

Making Ordinatus NON-Core Choices is something I'm not found of. Keeping SHT as Core I think is important..etc My post on the first page I think outlines my feelings well.  :)

I have been playing around with the AMTL list and have a few ideas I would like to chip in

Ordinatus Minoris
I use 3 of these armed with triple turbo lasers and I have to say I really enjoy using them, I think a small price break of 25pts would be nice to try and encourage their use over the other super heavies in the list or possible give them a default weapon. I tend to run each of them with a skitarii cohort so keeping them as a single support option would do me fine!

Ordinatus Majoris
I run two of these, one armed with a nova cannon for long range titan hunting and one with a sonic disruptor for anti infantry.

The biggest thing that kills the majoris is the critical damage table, spending 500+ points on something that can potentially evaporate in a huge plasma ball is a bit strange I would have thought something mounting starship sized weapons would have coolant systems and other means of protecting itself, maybe swapping the critical damage with the reaver would be a good idea and more fitting for such a war machine of the mechanicum.

Hydras
I would quite like to see an upgrade for warmachines (Ordinatus Minoris/Majoris & Gorgan) where they can upgrade to include hydra AA turrets for 50pts it seems really fitting that the mechanicum would bolt on protective turrets in order to protect their precious war machines. Maybe lose the flack support to compensate?

Transport
Maybe add in rhinos? Would help take the skitarii army away from guard with tech and start to give them a sense of individuality…

Anyway those are my ideas feel free to pull them apart!

Hi and welcome to the forum!

Previously, it's been regarded as one of the balancing mechanisms for this incredibly powerful weapons platform.

If during the next few months' stress testing it proves overly-harsh, I can see it only exploding on a 1-3...

I've been thinking about maybe adding a Macharius variant with a Hydra turret on top.

It's very techy...

A) Anyone want to buy 3 Stormblades?

B) shouldd there not be macharius variants (freem) in there too swappable for the basic tanks, and a unit entry for them?

I think you're thinking of Malcadors, which are not in the list.

I'll add a datafax box in the next version.

What about adding Rhinos to the Light Transportation option? Something like "Take enough Chimaeras and/or Rhinos to transport the entire formation. Rhinos +10pts ea/Chimaeras +25pt each." Something to consider for the next round of playtesting.

I suppose Rhinos are a good idea... Can't hurt to throw it into the playtest. Will make armies stand out from Guard too.

I still am pretty vocal against the Majoris being a core choice... It just doesn't feel right. Core choices are building blocks of the army, mainly infantry and battle tanks. A massive artillery piece sounds a hell of a lot like support to me.

Core choices can also represent the "centrepieces" of an army... which Majoris certainly are for the Adeptus Mechanicus!

All three Ordinatus options have been made so that you can attach infantry to them (or attach them to infantry... effectively the same thing).

Please do include the Rhinos. Very fluffy, and I have a ton of them currently seeing no use what so ever...
