I like the concept of "spawn boosting" given by "Mycetic Spores", but, even in the fluff, Mycetic Spores are the Tyranid version of Drop Pods, not a generic spawn booster.  I think the name is misleading/confusing to some, esepcially as new players get into the Bugs.

So, what shall we change it too?

Okay, perhaps I'm just twisted, but both "love drops" and "brood batter" sound like euphemisms you would encounter in... shall we say... somewhat poorly executed, adult-oriented fiction.

- Extra Spawning.
- Spawn Boost.
- Brood gathering
- Synaptic rally scream or "cry"
- Hive call
- Synaptic Call.

I think all those names sound neat, but I'd prefer something I can modify with a number, e.g., "I have 5 Mycetic Spores left."

I have "5 Increased Spawnings" left doesn't seem to parse well for me.

I'd like something noun-based rather than verb-based if possible.

Spawning Spores

And because it's not often I get to flex my classical muscles...

Proliferation Spores (proliferation - growth of cell populations)
Eutocian Spores (eutocia - Natural or easy childbirth)
Oxytocic Spores (oxytocic - characterized by rapid labor)

Personally, I think oxytocic (ox-e-ta-kick) fits the bill and is easy enough to say.

I'd highly reccomend staying away from anything 'spore' related, because we have another type of spore in the list (The Meotic Spore).

And Love Drops surges to second place just behind the favourite... :D

If that fantastic name doesn't make the cut... how about  'Catalyst'.

In 40k 'Catalyst' is a Synapse Hive Power used to let nearby slain tyranid creatures strike back before they are removed (it can be purchased for certain synapse creatures and they must make a psychic test to utilise it successfully). The nature of the spawn effect in epic is somewhat similar, and catalyst nicely implies initiating or increasing an event.

"I have 3 Catalysts left... "
"I'm spawning and using a Catalyst"

Stick it in Synapse points like Neal said in another thread.

I vote for:
Explosive/Enhanced Regeneration Markers
Enhanced Spawning Marker
Catalyst Marker

Hive Call sounds nice too, but is kinda abstract.
