Well since it is motherday (well in my country it is) I thoiught we could all get a present for our most beloved brood mother, the dominatrix.

The present, a torniment legal 2700pt list with her in it.

Nealhunt got me thinking on how possible this is and I've been hammering away at spreadsheets trying to get one that works, so I thought we could all have a go.

2700pts on the dot, but only 5 synapse creatures
:( , so BTS will be easier fot my opponet, though the warriors are surrounded by more gaunts than is healthy.

It also has the added benefit that I have all the ,models (except mother) ?:D


So what sort of dominatrix lists does anyone else use?

I take it that your plan on list compositon is similar to mine, ie take a load of bio WEs to distract the TK weapons away from mother.

Yep... *laugh* ?Mama likes her big boys...

I've fielded that army once, well, I think I've tweaked it since then, and I think I did a batrep for it as well.

Well, are you sure that you still use the *2 warriors group? ;).
Your lists are ok but just pray that your opponent don't take spacecraft with pinpoint attack.

Hierodules can protect the broodmother, but it slows down. A 700 pts formation which move at a 15cm speed, I find it too slow. Maybe we could change the mouvement of the hierodule in order to make them able to follow broodmother (whatever we must change the hierodules which are currently totally broken).

Okay just realised the glaring mistake in my list, I was ment to take two bio titans not two bio super heavies. :p

Ayoras, I'm afraid that you have confused me, what do you mean I'm I sure that I only have 5 synpase creatures?

As to having mother survive.  The plan would be to march the two bio titans on the first turn, whilst she only advaces or doubles, thus they become a bigger threat, and also to point out that killing 3 synapse creatures is all that is needed to get BTS.

If I count correctly :

one hyve tyran => 1 synapse creature
one synapse warrior group => 3 synapse creatures
one dominatrix => 1 synapse creature........

Well it seems that I don't count correctly ^^. It is too early in the mourning (9h45 am for me). Sorry to disturb you.

Well clearly I think the BTS rule must be changed. It has already been evoked : WE synapse creatures should count for their DC in the BTS count. So 8 for the brood mother. It is totally logical that a WE count much more than a single warrior. In order to break the spirit of an army which involves a Queen, you must kill the queen, not its servants.

And what do you think of a 25cm WE brood creature as I spoke above? The queen bodyguard (well in fact the perfection would the cheapest creature with 25cm, WE, DC3 and 4+ RA :

small arms
DC3, brood(2), RA

.... Surely it is totally stupid...)
But I'm still sure that a version of the hierodules should be able to follow the dominatrix.

I would prefer to just up the current Hierodules move to 20cm, this way if you want a bodyguard you have to exchange some speed for it, it also doesn't introduce any new models.

I would also want the Hierodules to be changed.

"A" type to lose its cluster spines and the acid spray to go down to range 15cm AP4+, +1FF

"B" type to lose its bioshock (lets keep the heirodule a Heirodule and bring back the trygon as its own unit), and its bio cannons to be either 2 shots or twin linked (and hitting on 4+).

Also both types would have crit = dead (like  any non titan WE), I would also want to give them fearless.

Though points should probably go up to 125/150pts.

But forgeworld has made two Hierodules and a Trygon, and a malanthrope (which I'll use as a count as tyrant, as soon as I figure out how to make one). ?So we should have all three.

Also, in my opinion Trygons and Hierodules are two different creatures tactically. ?Hierodules are line breakers, basically larger carnifexi, used to spearhead major assaults. ?Whereas I see rygons as more of an a disruption attacker, springing out of the ground in the middle of the enemy whilst the rest of the swarm hits at the front (infiltrating WE :D ).

Something along the lines of

Speed Armour CC ?FF
15cm ? 5+ ? ? ?4+ ?5+

weapons
Bioshock firefight, +3FF attacks
Massive claws ?+2CC MW attacks
Notes
RA, DC2 (crit = dead), infiltrator, brood (6), teleport
