Hi there... looking at the pictures of the new Trygon by Forgeworld, I was (drooling and) wondering... Don't you thing that a W40K Ravener would made a good Epic Trygon, scalewise and all that? I don't have W40K models, hence the question. And as a side comment, I was wondering if the W40K Carnifex could not be used as a decent Hierophant or other kind of Biotitan (they even have something that looks like a brain to act a symbiotic hive tyrant...)... You guys that have both Epic and W40K please tell me... And well, since I am at this, a W40K not so old Zoanthrope could probablyn be turned into a Harridan... and wait, the new Zoanthrope, as it seems bigger, could probably be turned into a a decent Vituperator... Or am I dreaming? Thanks Cobalt ![]() |

One problem with using a 40k carnifex for a bio-titan is that a carnifex is bipedal, while a bio-titan is quadripedal. Also carnifexes have only two arms, while bio-titans have more than two weapons. |

All right. But what about size? You can always convert to make arms/legs, can't you? |

The new carnie is frigging 'uge. ?There was talk about using one as a nid style imperator, but nothing came from it as far as I know. Now the other questions. ?40K rippers are a bit small to be used as biotanks. ?They stand only about 150% of the size of warrior. ?I'm using mine as raneners on steroids and some converted as zonathropes (here). Not sure about using the 4ok thropes as viruraptors and harriadans. Mine are currently hiveships and kraken. |

For Bio Titans, converted 40K Warriors would be a similar size to the metal EPIC bio titans. As for the "tanks" most of the old ones slithered, so Gaunt bodies + green stuff could be used. Size will be about right, though good luck on converting them! Scott |

Hey I love your new zoanthrope versions ragnarok! Very cool - what happened to the bodies of the old zo's? Regarding the original question i think raveners are way too big for trygons unfortunately - raveners are the size of titans.. Bits of their tail and stuff could be used maybe... Also I agre that the carni woudl have tobe the basis for a 'imperator' size biotitan - it is huge. I have seen some good attempts at normal bio-titans done using 40k tyranid warriors. |

Markonz- I've still got the bodies kicking around. Not sure what to do with them. If only I could find the rippers heads, I need them for my cari conversions. As for using raveners as bio titans. Funny you should of mentioned that. I've done a mail order today for the bits todo just that. I'll post pics once I've done. |

As it will be a long time before any new 'Nid figures come from GW, ScotiaGrendel produce some alien looking creatures in their "Kryomek" range. In particular there are some "Helion with tails" that could be converted to Trygons with the additions of sclything claws etc. ?Kryomeks |
