Battle report from my latest game against the Orks.

This time a bit more even sided and with plenty of engagements. ;D

Looks like you used Armyforge for the list, it's using 10.2 for the nids. 10.2.1 (in my sig) has the Synapse Swarm price of Dactylis adjusted.

Thanks for the game. What did you arm the Heirophant with?

Armyforge does actually use the 10.2.1 version:

4 Dactylis, in an independent brood, comes out at 400 points.

4 Dactylis in a small synapse brood, comes out at 500 points.

According to both the 10.2.1 army list and Armyforge.

I can se advantages to both.

Indenpendent = Harder to put BM on due to reinforced armor. Dedicated BP.
Synapse = Swarm critters in the backfield and pickup swarms that lost synapse. More vulnerable to BM and loss of BP.

I armed the hiephant with a Bile Launcher, mostly because I didn't expect it to see CC. It turned out to work well for BM prep. for other swarms engagements as well as area denial.

I have to say I'm a bit envious about those shuttles and their ability to unload whole warbands into engagements and CC.

Most of the time my opponent will make sure that engagements are fought within 15 cm but outside 5 cm, putting my bugs in FF where they do not shine at all.

In fact this is the only game where I have had a good amount of CC engagement and still I haven't had a game where the nids got to engage in CC themselves. :-\
