Do expendable units lost in an assault count for taking BMs in case the nids win? Assume not but wanted to check since they count for resolution.

Nope, no BMs for expendable units that are destroyed.

Agreed. The post-assault BMs are for casualties so Expendable units should be exempted from the count.

Makes sense, but the rules weren't clear on it and there was no FAQ entry.
