Looks like a pretty good match so far. Can't wait till those genestealers see some action. Sham about the support squad bitting it, though that's more to spawn back eventually! Just a quick question, but the tyranid list doesn't seem to have the prerequisite "1/4 of points being common brood". Unless I misunderstand some rules it seems there is only enough basic infantry (hormies, termies, gargs, and raveners) for just over 2000 points. |

Nice batrep so far ![]() Support swarm 1: Hive Tyrant with 4 Dactylis Support swarm 2: Hive Tyrant with 4 Dactylis Is this a typo? Hive Tyrants can only have 3 Dactylis IIRC. |

(Lord_Aba @ Jul. 23 2007,04:45) QUOTE Just a quick question, but the tyranid list doesn't seem to have the prerequisite "1/4 of points being common brood". Unless I misunderstand some rules it seems there is only enough basic infantry (hormies, termies, gargs, and raveners) for just over 2000 points. I didn't check the points values when I wrote the list, as I was in a hurry and did not know the list by heart. I felt limited by the availability of models: Hena does not have too many basic infantry figures for the 'nids. If I could have, I'd have included Raveners and would've considered a third big inf swarm instead of the second Dactylis brood. Turn 1 shows my basic idea pretty well: produce too many targets (the three GS groups and teleporting Lictors) for the Marines. Even when I lose the initiative on turn 2, I can still engage effectively with stealers and/or Lictors. I paid no attention to force protection. The idea was simply to engage for effect at the start of turn 2. The report will show how this worked... |

(Hena @ Jul. 23 2007,11:08) QUOTE Eh? They can have 15 units. Note that the Synapse (X) value talks about units not combined value of Brood(X). Thanks for clearing that up. Somehow I had misread that and also played my games with this false interpretation. |

(Hena @ Jul. 23 2007,06:10) QUOTE Edit: I have written most of this, but pictures are still not done. So hopefully I manage to finish this in the evening. Then I have another coming as I had time to play on sunday too. Tease, tease, tease... |
