Stunning looking model. Makes the old Epic Trygon look a bit stumpy. The 40k FW Trygen looks much more dynamic. ets hope that FW's "de-biggulator" is still working and then FW could make an Epic version.... Cheers

Nice mini. Like a lot of Nid minis, the head has definite Alien influences.

Well, having read the rules for it in 40k, I pondered for a moment and came up with a set of rules as a possible starting point for an Epic version (be it in the main list or hard-to-find models section):
Type Speed Save CC FF WE 15cm 4+ 3+ - Weapons 2x Monstrous Claws (AW, MW, EA+1) Scythe Tail (AW, EA+1) Notes: DC2, Reinforced Armour, Fearless, Transport (may carry up to 8 units from the following list: Tyranid Warriors, Termaguants, Hormagants, Raveners; must deploy as soon as the Ravener arrives on the battlefield), Tunneller (Counts as Planetfall, but no spacecraft are required - choose a turn and area of arrival as normal)

I'd thought of something similar.
Two other things
1/ a unit of TW must be included. So you can have 3 Tygrons per TW formation popping up together as one formation. transporting (8-1)x3 units.
2/ Possibly: Raveners should not count towards the transport total, i.e. they tunnel along side within synapse range.

Very similar to what I designed in another thread NO-1, so great minds do think alike (or I'm still damn good at immitating).
Ferrumvir- I don't thing letting raveners tunneling aling side is a good idea. Evil players, such as muself on a good day, will just fill the trygons with termagaunts to use as bullet shields and also deploy a heafty amount of ravener as the main assault formation.

Quote (ferrumvir @ 28 Oct. 2005 (17:25)) | 2/ Possibly: Raveners should not count towards the transport total, i.e. they tunnel along side within synapse range. | Since they aren't really being "transported" but are "travelling along" having a transport limit that includes all possible "hangers on" should be okay, and it prevents certain un-fun things for the opponent from happening.

I did say possibly!
And ragnarok, Great minds think alike, however two fools never differ! But I prefer the first one too.
Scott
PS Another idea, Raveners take up 1 transport, TW,TG,HG take up 2 and then up the Transport capacity? (possibly)

I like the variable transport idea. However I wouldn't increase its transport capacity to more than 8 raveners/4 others. Or possible use something similar to what the orcoids have.
May transport 4 of the following: Tyranid warriors, termagaunts, hormagaunts, gargoyles (not sure about these), raveners. May carry 4 raveners in addition to any other units

I was thinking that, but the tunnel is large and gargoyles might be able to navigate them.
Do they fight inside bioships?

I picked 8 because it translated well from the "may carry a brood..." in the 40k version - a Hormagant or Gaunt brood consists of 8-32 creatures (assuming 4 models per stand, that's 2-8 stands). The idea of additional capacity for other creatures is a good one, though, but I think anything less than 8 is a little on the small side, seeing as this is a one-shot WE transport.
