Lictors: I would rather try to take Infiltrator off them. Fluff-wise it seems fitting but it's over the top.

Termagants: Seems ok now that you told me the reasoning. It just felt odd, that they were as quick as the Hormagants.

Meiotic Spore Sacks: Still, they feel overpriced for what they can do. Having Scout would allow them to cover a larger area, their AA is to short-reached to be a real threat to flyers picking them off. If they stay this way I would like to see a price reduction.

As you can read in the batreps nobody used any aircraft which really surprised me. In reality I was playing both games with 300 points less than my opponent.

Spawning: Yes, we ended up with mindless swarms. But my opponent mostly chose to stay more than 30cm away from my swarms.

Can't say anything about BTS, this was feedback from somebody else. The same goes for Spawning.

Spwaning enables the Tyranids to flood objectives. One turn you shoot them mindless and then they spawn. It also seemed odd to me that the IG can easily outnumber the Tyranids. Make the brood creatures cheaper and strip or weaken spawning.

I think it's easier to kill a LR Company than eliminating 1/2 of the synapse creatures. The synapse creatures can spread all over the table, other BTS-units can?t.

"Flood" objectives?  Hmmm... if a swarm has been driven "instinctive" it'll only spawn on a 4+ if there's enemies nearby, and the basic Synapse groups will generate 2d3 spawn points... I don't consider a max 6 'Gaunts a flood... especially is the enemy can move with 15cm of the objective, because instinctive swarms can't claim it.

I'd say getting rid of that last fearless Commissar tank is harder than killing half the Synapse creatures.

If you review any of the recent battle reports, the enemy almost always gets BTS against the Tyranids... as that's precisely what you need to do to stop them... killing one or two at a time adds up!

These are the impressions of my first game against the Tyranids. Probably it was my lack of experience against this army or Morgs luck but I think it's easy to "hide" the synapse creatures. If it's a big swarm or a pice terrain. Let's see what the next games bring.
