Ya, I felt the stealers and Trygons could at least do with a 25 point bump after my game with Norto and looking in our your two games Saturday.

Agreed. 8 genestealers w an inspiring brood lord at 175 pts with infiltrator, inspiring, and FS on 2+ was melting formations. If that went to 200, I need to start looking at giving up a zoanthrope AA shot and MW shot in another formation, or drop that inspiring.

Same with the Trygons. Having another 2DC in the formation made it feel much more resilient.

I am struggling to understand what the first dot point of 6.21.1 The Hive Mind means
The text is

Synapse swarms ignore brood units for the purposes of determining formation strength during tiebreak.

What is a tiebreak?

Hope someone can help thanks.

See 6.1.7: https://tp.net-armageddon.org/tournamen ... conditions

If neither players has won at the end of a 4th/5th turn, the game goes to tiebreak. Formations that are half-strength or less, and/or that are broken give your opponent points, the player with the highest total wins the game. For 'nids, you don't count the brood creatures in Synapse Swarm (because you're able to return them via swarming). You only could non-brood units (Warriors, Carnifexes, etc.) when determining if a formation is at half-strength or less.

E.g. a small Synapse Swarm with 2 Warriors, 6 gaunts and a Zoanthrope is at half-strength or less when it looses 2 out of the 3 Warriors/Zoanthrope. You ignore the gaunts.

Does the dominatrix count to the 1/4 war engine limit.

Cause whilst the rule at the top says all war engines are limited to 1/4 of your points, it then says further down that war engine formations are what's limited to 1/4.

It does not. It's because of that though that you're only allowed 1/4 in WEs, rather than the usual 1/3.
