First off,
Thanks Cyber for organizing this - I've been really looking forward to the competition!

I've got an entry (an eldar fireprism), but I've also got a few questions before I post. ?As I understand it:

1) I can post a single jpeg no larger than 75kb, along with a brief description in the "single unit" thread.
2) I can't post any links in the "single unit" thread.
3) I can post links to other pics and comments in the "comments" thread.

Am I right so far?

So my question is, are there any restrictions on the additional linked pictures in the comments thread? ?For example, in the "comments" thread can I link to a picture (or multiple angles) of my entry that exceeds 75kb and 640 x480 pixels?

Thanks,
CF

Hi. Fire away...

1) I can post a single jpeg no larger than 75kb, along with a brief description in the "single unit" thread.

Yep. Be aware that these boards look at full post size. Therefore, if your post is too big to be accepted, and you have written a lengthy description, then you may think about reducing the words to save space.

2) I can't post any links in the "single unit" thread.

Correct. The submission thread is for a single picture and description only.

3) I can post links to other pics and comments in the "comments" thread.

Correct. The 'comments' thread is for you to give more information, or for people to ask questions or for close up shots.

Be aware, however, that when the Epic voting gallery is constructed, only the single picture in the submission thread will be included.

So my question is, are there any restrictions on the additional linked pictures in the comments thread?  For example, in the "comments" thread can I link to a picture (or multiple angles) of my entry that exceeds 75kb and 640 x480 pixels?

There are, in theory, no restrictions on the picture size outside the submission thread. However, you should not that the boards are set up not to accept posts (including pictures) of more than 75Kb. However, you can link to larger pictures off-site, or include several additional pictures if you like.

Hi CS, I really feel I should know the answer to this, but would a really large war engine such as a Tau Manta or Necron Abbattoir go with the Titans or single unit?
Also - where would stuff such as shown in the pic (that's a past entry, so you won't be seeing him in the comp   ) go? I'd posted this guy in the open when I'd entered him. Where would he go now? Not that I'm seriously considering entering something so big, of course.....    (where's the devil smiley when you need him?)

Personally, I would class these (Manta et al) as 'Titan equivalents' and put them in the Titan category. Of course, if there are more of them, then they could form a battle group...

You cathedral would similarly be a Titan entry... but it does seem to want to define its own category!

Heh - the category of weird stuff which cannot be categorized.....
Thanks CS.
:D
A battle group of Manta?! Good grief. Would be nice, but I have less than 1.  :p

I have a number of models with in my collection that I feel would deserve recognition in the competition, but here?s the catch, I have not painted them.  (Heretical I know!)  :D

Can I enter them anyway with the painters name (if known) listed so that the kudos goes to them.  Obviously if one of the entries won I wouldn?t expect the prizes.

Seems a shame to have them not getting any recognition seeing as someone has spent a long time working on them.

I recently made a 6mm scale version of a 40k prototype war engine (I'm not tellin' which one  ).  It was never a real unit in any game, so can I still submit it?

I have a question about objectives: ?Is it okay to submit them? ?And, if so, would it be okay to submit them as a single unit, or with a Battlegroup entry (representing an objective this battlegroup must capture defend)?

Thanks!

Why did Mohawk win Battleforce - Heat 01 when KillerLoop has more votes? Is it something with the voting system?

Do I get an answer?

My sincere apologies. I did not see this question.

You are absolutely correct. This is my fault totally. With respect to Mohawk, I will remove and restart the voting process for the Battleforce category.

Sorry to all concerned.

Er Cybershadow can you change the title of the Battleforce Category to Battleforce - Final - Restarted. I only noticed it because I was checking the results

Sorry. I have brought back the previous poll and renamed the new version. I hope that this clears up all confusion.

Thanks.
