Are there specifications for the pictures to be submitted, i.e. memory size, how many views per entry, etc..

Nealhunt, from the rules post:
2 - Take a digital picture of your entry (if you do not have access to a digital camera, please contact Jimbo for a postal address who will scan the picture for you). Digital images should be in JPG format, be no larger than 600 x400 pixels and no larger than 75Kb in size. Advice is available if you have trouble changing your digital camera images. Remember only one picture per entry and no multiple image entries. Your photograph must be a single shot of your entry. Images not corresponding to these guidelines may be *adjusted* or removed.

Hope that helps

Me none of those difficult technical questions, I just want to know what the Golden Rhino is?

Hi Jimbo.

I was thinking about maybe entering an Orkimedes' Gargant Big Mob in the Battleforce category. Among other things the force might include the Grotnoughts I made a while ago. IIRC it is not a year since they were built but can I include then even though I've posted pics of them elsewhere?

Cheers! :)

If I understand the rules correctly you are allowed to post links to other images of your miniature though not in the actual category thread. This means that you could have views from other angles, close ups etc. posted elsewhere if you want. This would probably be particularly usefull in the "Battleforce" category.

This is correct (and a change from previous years, see I do listen).

In the entry thread, you may only post a single picture, as an attachment.

In the discussions thread you may post further pictures and or links to other pictures, as well as discuss how you made the model.

As pictures have been posted before then the miniatures must have been painted (finished) in 2005.

In terms of the Battleforce Category, considering a substantial part of the entry was completed in 2005 then I will allow it if some of the models were finished earlier and have been seen.

Hi Jimbo. I was just wondering...
Should there be some sort of advertizing of the comp on the official SG forum?

Just a thought  :;):

Cheers!  :)

Is it legal for a pice to be inlcuded in 2 submissions?
For example could a stand be entered in the Individual category, but also be a part of a Battleforce Category entry?

No

A miniature can not be entered more than once.

EDIT 27/08/05

A clarification the only exception is terrain which may be used as a background for anothe entry as well as being entered in the terrain category.

A quick question regarding the use of other company's parts in the competition.

I have what I'm now referring to as a Warlord Titan MkIb that started out as a minor mod and has since mutated into a fairly major kitbash out of an assortment of Cav, Heavy Gear and of course some epic parts.

It would appear to be almost 75% non-GW parts as it stand right now and as such... would it cause a stink if I entered it?

Cheers

There is no requirement to use any GW miniatures or parts in any entry.

An entry consisting of 100% non-GW parts will be eligible for entry as much as an entry which is all GW parts.

Note to forum users: please do not attempt to answer questions in this thread, please allow me to do so in order to be consistent and accurate. Please use the discussion thread for any discussion.

Hi Jimbo. I originally posted this questions just before the boards went offline.

Anyway I was wondering if it was allright to post WIP pics of a model which will be submitted to the comp?

And when I post an entry: Am I allowed to post pics of the model on my own site as well (or elsewhere for that matter?)

Cheers! :)

Strictly speaking not a question but I also remember someone submitting some Eldar stuff in a couple of categories. Can't remember if it was a regular but if anyone knows who it was we sho9uld probably drop him a mail so he can repost his stuff...

Yes

Yes

However you may not post links in your entry thread, only one image allowed in the entry thread.

Please post links, WIP other finished shots in the Discussion thread.
