I prefer the idea of having separate open and terrain categories.  I think there are a lot of good terrain builders on the forum and I don't think a gaming terrain piece should have to compete with a diorama.

I am happy to donate a prize for terrain but I will have to give it a little thought to figure out exactly what and find something cool

Edit ---- oh yeah and I am definitely interested and will definitely enter multiple categories.  Also a big thumbs up for the conversion category.  Would say a green of a scratch built miniature go in a conversion category or would it go in open, its something I definitely think we could award (also some of the bare plasticard tank building efforts would be worthy of an award even unpainted, would they fit into open or something like a conversion category?).

Hi. Thanks for the feedback. The number of categories would depend heavily on the number of prizes available.

Dont send any pictures right now. When the competition opens from the first of next month, there will be threads that you can upload your pictures too. Just hang on to them now, and if you have any questions after next week, just feel free to ask any questions.

I imagine that the conversion category would work in the same way as we have it for GothiComp. All entries to the competition are automatically elligable for the conversion prize, and no seperate category is set up. There are a number of judges apointed who go through all entries and decide on a winner - so this is not voted on by the community, and is the only category that is not.

i did say, before, that i would offer sprues of epic ruins, unfortunately with GW bailing out on me for ANYTHING regarding Epic all i have left is 2 or 3 of the sprues. So consider them donated. I also announce i wont be participating for various reasons and wouldnt mind being one of those "appointed judges" :p :p

Thanks. I think that we wont need the sprues this time around, but thanks for the offer. I am afraid that we have all the conversion judges that we need.
