I'm sure this has been discussed extensively. However, in my brief dig I wasn't able to find a good summary review.

How do the AT18 minis look with EA?

From the pics I found it looks like they would probably be fine if they were the only war engines but they might throw the compressed scale off if there were other WEs around.

Welcome back!

They look just dandy and they're frequently seen on the epic table, SHT and armor be damned :)

Be aware the default base shape for AT18 battle titans are oval and not round. Not that it probably makes a difference but something to consider, especially if you want to play both games. Moredakka has a bunch of his VGM figures next to the Titans and the knights and they look perfect.

In addition, for those liking Lucius pattern Titans there's a resin one from Nuclear Shrimp games for the warlord and on thingaverse there is a printable Warhound that are PERFECT matches for AT18 scale (so you can get your Legio Astorum fun going properly).

It's a great time to be a Titan jockey

I think the biggest issue mentioned locally is that the footprint of them makes them difficult to maneuver. They size difference between the fan Warhound is the biggest, I would say. The Warlord is the smallest in terms of difference between the two.

If someone plops down a beetleback it's going to look sad.

Whoa. That's a pretty big difference in the pics.

Out of curiosity, is there any forumware doing chaos titans or after-market conversion bits?

Here a few more generally helpful comparisons

Yeah there's the old forumware chaos titans. They're pretty small in comparison to the AT18 plastics however so generally someone has to pick a scale and go with it in their collection.

I can say we're seeing a LOT of kitbashing using the mauler/slaughterfiend chaos kit on AT titans. Stick on a little greenstuff and etches brass chaos bits and you get a pretty great chaos titan.

Post subject:  Re: Scale compatibility?

I'm using AT scale titans and knights alongside everything else 6mm. I'll live with these bits being bigger than you'd expect as such units should be imposing. I'll be internally consistent across my own armies and not care if they're out of scale with my opponents. I'll be using whole armies of AT Knights and Titans fine at Epic tournaments.

There aren't currently chaos titan and knight parts but it is almost definite to happen within a year or two so it depends if you have the patience to wait. Could always work on loyalist ones for the moment and add chaos later. Or just get creative yourself sooner with bits from other kits.

There are bits and bobs kicking around, but you need access to a 3D printer. That seems to be the way things are going, now.

You should be aware that "ForumWare" is in so called "TrueScale" which is the same scale as the old ForgeWorld Epic minis which are 1/5th the size of the Wh40k model.

Modern Adeptus Titanicus is 1/4th of the Wh40k model. So the new Titan models are considerably larger than even the "ForumWare"/"TrueScale" ones. WHich also makes them double the size of the old GW (plastic and metal) and FW (the resin Lucius pattern ones) Titan
