Thank you for those.

What are the actual dimensions of the miniature? I figure that's a guide place to start - as you say, canon can vary wildly from those days.

If you are talking about the original GW Epic CI -

Roughly = L : 8.5 cm, W: 4.5 cm, H: 5cm ... roughly ... But that should be close enough for a start. 8)

Found these pics online … they may give you a better idea of actual size ...

Thanks, Legion.

Those numbers should get me close enough.

I've attached my draft for an updated Capitol Imperialis.

I've tried to merge the old miniature with FW's new Ordinatus minis.

The mount on the top is for the Volcano Cannon, which I'm thinking would be the Reaver-scale one.

Thoughts & comments?

I really don't like the shape. I don't think the mount should be on the top like a turret Volcano Cannon. Such a weapon belongs as a hull-fixed weapon. I don't like that it's so rounded and I don't think that it, or the odd track sections look right for an Imperial vehicle. They look like modern revisionist Space Marine guff, and not at all Capitol Imperialis-like.

Sorry, but... There's nothing there that appeals to this old-miniature-liking person.

Why would it look like an Ordinatus? A Capitol Imperialis is a IG vehicle not a AM one.

That fluff has changed over the decades. SMs had the CI at first. ^-^
