Onslaught Sisterhood used as Space Marine proxies:

1x Command Squad
1x Themis Squad
1x Virtus Squad
1x Hecate Squad
1x Athena Battle Squad
1x Nemesis Bike Squad
1x Minerva Squad
2x Juno APCs
2x Hera Battle Tanks x2
2x Atropos Rocket Tanks

US $143.50, 92.44 GBP

Female Space Marines starter list, 2000 POINTS
Codex Astartes (NetEA Tournament Pack 2014)
==================================================

TACTICAL [325] (Hecate Squad + Command stand + Juno APCs)
6 Tacticals, Captain, Rhinos

ASSAULT [175] (Virtus Squad)
4 Assault Units

DEVASTATOR [250] (Hecate Squad + Juno APCs)
4 Devastators, Rhinos

TERMINATOR [350] (Athena Battle Squad)
4 Terminators

BIKE [200] (Nemesis Bike Squad)
5 Bike Unit

SCOUT [150] (Minerva Squad)
4 Scouts

PREDATOR [250] (Hera Battle Tanks)
4 Annihilator

WHIRLWIND [300] (Atropos Rocket Tanks)
4 Whirlwinds

Extras:
20 loose character minis
1 assault stand
1 devastator stand
1 terminator stand
1 scout stand
2 predator annihilators
2 whirlwinds

The extra stands can be used with characters for optional upgrade stands, or the 5 extra Devastators could be spread among 5 of the Tactical stands. Maybe there's a way to use the extra Whirlwinds as Hunters as the player expands to 3000 points with air involved - maybe a future turret, or just painting the missile pods a different color. Not sure about the Predators.

Keep this up guys you are doing a grand job in giving me a direction that I could take this in if interest is sufficient in army deals.

It would not be to much effort to put packs together to form starter armies. Something to look into during the new year though I think as it will also depend on stock levels which still need boosting by a considerable margin.

Cheers

Perhaps they could be cast on demand?

Good idea Jimmy , say like a pre order, that way Vanguard gets paid and does not have to go crazy
on the overheads for stock on the shelves. Customer gets his army in few weeks ;)

Even putting it up as an army pre order on the website will at least give you an idea if this will
sell or not. ;)

Pre order option is a good idea but would be cause for long delays for the customer as i'd need to have a bunch of orders before submitting to the casters, then there's the wait whilst it's actually cast and then shipped.

With the TMG range I need to order a minimum of five spins for any individual mould I want minis from which ramps up costs too so there's that to consider when ordering new stock.

It's taking a very long time to get orders shipped from the US and UK at the moment with many delays from the casting companies for both ranges. I'm starting to get really low on some onslaught stuff and i'm still waiting on my initial batch from TMG which is not helping, I have 20 orders on hold waiting for the TMG stuff to arrive at this time.

At this rate and being this time of year I doubt if I will get anymore onslaught stock arriving until after christmas as times moving on and it takes about three weeks from the shipping date for me to receive a customs duty to pay notice.

I've ask for an ETA for my TMG order but received no update as of yet. As you can imagine all these delays are becoming quite frustrating for me.

Definitely a labour of love here. Evidently you need to work on desirable races that will satisfy E:A armies, but you may also need to take account of other game systems.

The obvious issue is the degree of flexibility in the different Epic armies within the various rulesets. Worse, I am unsure that there are identifiable 'core' groups of formations in any army. This is further compounded by variations in the Net-EA, Epic-FR, E-UK 'approved' lists let alone those under development. That said, you could possibly try to analyse the E-UK championship armies to see if there are any themed lists that are more popular than others.

You probably need to create and publish a list of figures and models suggesting those Epic units that they can proxy. From this you should be able to identify suitable pack quantities for shipping

Keep it simple. We've seen how difficult it is to keep these businesses going.

We should really put together a list for Orks/Skinners, but Ork E:A lists are such a pain to put together. I can't do it.

While I support this idea entirely, a slight note of caution did just enter my mind - by publishing army lists and suggesting specific proxies for Wendy's games for a commercial endeavour does this invite the wrath of Kirby?

It's a genuine question and I'm not sure, but I certainly don't want to see vanguard in trouble...

No. Given the outcome of the chapter House ordeal, this should be unproblematic. As long as it is not directly copied physical designs or names. However, I am not a lawyer and would understand completely any hesitation.

Yeah, you're now allowed to sell bits that say, "Compatible with Games Workshop Space Marines." Just can't say "Space Marine" in the actual product name.

If it were an issue (it's not), you could always pretend that "Compatible with NetEA lists" doesn't necessarily mean "meant for Epic: Armageddon."

I'm no expert either but it is important to remember the Chapter House case was in the U.S. where the law is very different to the UK regarding "IP."

I think the concern would be that by linking one product with a specific unit or range of products in a specific rule set still owned by another they could be seen as "replacements" rather than "customisable" add on bits. Even chapter house afaik had to stop their whole figures which could "replace" GW figures (and we're obviously based on their design and universe.)

Using the car analogy that tends to come up with this - yes you can sell an alternative bumper as "compatible with a Golf", but you can't advertise your product as the "same as a Golf." In this case I'm not sure where it would sit legally.

Yes. My point exactly, I believe. Unless I misunderstood something there. Don't exactly copy names or designs and you will probably be fine. Probably.

A whole year since I started this thread, had it moved here as I do intend to create army deal packs next year.

All the information and list work done in this thread should proove handy later.
