Just read your rules explanation on BoW - sounds interesting. Little bit of FWC and a little bit of Epic and some great models so far. How long before we see some of the other factions?

Thanks Blip,
We do have limited funds, one reason we'll for a KS in January, but we have a couple of quid put aside to get some of the Virdiians printed, cast and painted. Giovanni may hopefully have some finished by mid-October so I'll be sure to post them here.
You can see vehicles for the initial factions in our Galleries here, digital though.

Hope to have more to show soon, all the best

Those syntha vehicles look like they would make excellent proxy bases for converting urdeshi stalk tanks used by the blood pact. Just a thought.

Thanks folks ;D

@Rastamann I'm with you on that, current layout is in a V shape for the final book :D
In the end its really what ever takes your fancy, you don't have to follow our layout, you just need to know what type the base is- there are easy reference cards for that too. We will be offering free upgrades if we hit certain goals, these will include funky "decorative" items such as new standards, leaders, medics, wounded etc for the infantry bases and tank crews, desant troopers, sat and radar dishes, water slide transfers etc for the vehicles, so we're hoping folk will customize their bases.
I think these guys would look cool dug in behind some sand bags or some make shift defense position.

My suggestion would be to push a crowdfunding campaign further out. People I've noticed seem to go bonkers with spending around Christmas so there's often a big bit of spending shock thereafter to contend with. An early sprung/late winter campaign tend to be easier.

Yep - straight after Christmas is a recipe for a disappointing crowd funder. No one has any money and everybody has a pile of new unpainted toys already reminding them they spent too much!

You seem fairly well advanced with this : art, rules, renders, painted models, press etc. Many KS have much less at launch. Can't you launch it in December?

Hey chaps,
Odd you say this as we have done some research on this, that's not to say its completely sound ;D have a look here:
http://gotgeniusgames.com/kickstarter-s ... ch-matter/

It suggests that starting TTG campaign in January and finishing in February has the greatest chance of success, nearly 50%, where as the summer and going into Xmas time has the lowest.
Further my experience of sales to stores/distributors shows that January is an excellent sales month too.

We held off launching earlier as we knew we couldn't get everything together for an October launch so we decided to give ourselves more room and delay to January, due to a few factors, one being this research- which is duplicated on other sites- but also that we couldn't get sufficient advertising slots with BoW, we also wanted to have most of the stretch goal models made: recon, dropships, manned robots, tank killers and other types, so that we could deliver the KS promptly once we finished, plan is to have everything shipped within a 3 month window on closing the KS, to our mind too many KS's deliver far too late, further with folk being able to see the models, rather than a sketch, it would hopefully give them more confidence in vesting in the project.

Happy to discuss this further.

I stand corrected ! Fair enough, I guess people shopping before Christmas are looking for stuff they can get in time for Christmas presents. Perhaps jan shoppers are looking for some retail therapy during the dark winter months... Who knows ?! :-)

Definitely think you are doing the right thing to have as much as possible in physical form ready for the launch.

Getting quite excited about this!

I do think its a case of that and perhaps sweeping away the old and in with the new :D who really knows. We had hoped for an October launch but we weren't confident about being able to deliver in that time frame, we had three members fo the team end up in hospital in a 4 week period!, and there are so many TTGs coming out at or around that point, Hawk's Dropship is out then, so perhaps the project will have a better run at it with a less crowded field in the New year.

I'm very keen to get as much finished as possible so that we can deliver when we hope, that's got to count I think.

Delighted that your excited about the game Blip, its a real boost to the chaps here and is greatly appreciated, cheers :D
