The "Model cost" listing is just the cost of the components of the model itself. It does not include any adjustments for Morale, Break Point, or Formation type. Thus, yes, the values are different between the "Model Cost" list and the "Formations" list. The cost of the Model itself is provided in case a player wishes to use the exact same model as Gold uses in a Formation of their own design. This way, they don't have to go through the trouble of figuring it out on their own. |

Update: I played the new points system last night and it seems to be working very well. I know Magnus won't appreciate me saying this but the costings "felt" right and both of us agreed that the balance to the game was very good. I'd like to add that we are calculating VPs by dividing the unit cost by 10 (rounding up or down to the nearest 10) which means a unit that costs say 982 points would be worth 98 VPs while one which cost 986 would be worth 99. Objectives are worth 50VPs and the total is as is already established except multiplied by 10, for example a 4K battle will require 450VPs for victory. We're playing a 5K battle at the weekend which I plan on doing a full report on so hopefully this will be more helpful in terms of analysis both for how the actual points system is working and whether our take on the VPs seems suitable. |

OP updated for V0.33, adjusting models on stands and single shot weapons, though Marines have none of the latter. |
