Hi there, new to this forum. We have been playing regular 40k for a while and are interested in getting into larger battles, thinking about 6mm. I don't really like the "look" of the GW Epic infantry figures. The Orks look like "blobs" as do some other factions of the 40k universe. Are there any other makers of 6mm figures that can pass as Orks which have some appealing looks to them? I know that at a distance they look 'ok" but I've got to paint them up close and personal. Thank-you for your help.

Troublemaker games Skinnerz are what you need!

Also check out microworld games for fantasy orks which may work as proxies

Yep TMG skinnerz are the way to go. Once wave 4 gets released there will be more infantry to choose from and tanks.

Yep TMG ! Now that being said ... I always take offense when someone says 6mm models look like "blobs". IMO, if they do it's a lack of painting skills and not the models ... 6mm rules around these parts pligrim ! :tut ;D :whistle

Thank-you for the responses. I'll check the Skinnerz out. And yes, the GW orks do look featureless compared to other 6mm figures I have seen on the web.

Do keep in mind that the actual GW models for Epic are anywhere from 15 to 20+ years old. For the scale they are made at, they were good for their time.
