Mattman was saying (originally, at least) separate files for each sub faction, I suggested one document collecting all of the sub groups for each main faction into one. My thinking was that those who wanted the complete set could print out one separate book, while those who only really wanted the rules for their specific Amy could just print the 1-2 pages they needed and have those bound with the main faction book to make a single book.

My view is, that since these are going to be digital files we should be thinking about how to make them flexible enough to accommodate the various way different people might want to use them.

My vote is for this as well. We'd need to ensure that sub-factions are on seperate pages (i.e. don't run into one another) but I think that goes without saying.

My understanding was that all the craftworlds would be grouped together in one document, while the generic or vanilla craftworld would remain in the other book, according to your proposal. If the idea, conversely, is to have each craftworld as a separate document, then I don't see that being a better option either, since it would just be too small to warrant being split in the first place.

Splitting Dark Eldar from the current book, and indeed splitting Harlequins and Exodites, I can understand, but breaking off the craftworld lists just seems like extra work for little gain to me.

As for creating additional lists being a bad idea, yes, it is just my opinion :).

Under the Eldar Addendum section I stated:

"Each named Craftworld to have an addendum document (starting with the standard ones and then adding the more obscure if people request them).
Each will be a mini document, something no more than 4-6 pages long (depending on fluff) and will contain Craftworld specific rules, units and formations for use in that Craftworld, along with restrictions if that Craftworld is not allowed to use specific formations. It is to be read in conjunction with the normal Eldar army book (basic stats and rules will not be replicated in the addendums)."

So each craft world has its own mini file.

Now what ForgottenLore and Bissler are saying makes sense, the addendums could be rolled into a single file as long as they are formatted so you can easily print out the section you want without printing rubbish from other craftworlds or chapters you don't want. Though I still like the idea of being able to just download the addendum I want to use without getting the rest.

Hi!

Since I'm the one doing the layout this time (which will include learning some adobe Indesign), I think I'll accommodate as many formats, file sizes as possible. Including a printer friendly version.
