Oh no.... someone just trashed the poor turks website... it is such a cold, cruel world sometimes.
Naturally I don't approve of such barbaric methods of retaliation and have no knowledge of this event.

MOAB = 'Mother of all bombs' or 'Massive Ordnance Air Blast' depending on how you view it.

Sorry guys, but I'm against the MOAB. I don't hold with fundamentalists or with misguided hackers - whatever their nationality - but I have a few Turkish acquaintances, and have been to Istanbul twice, and have seen loads of great places and met several nice people. And I can't loose these to MOAB. The terrorist bomb placed there last November in Beyoğlu, a district I had visited, together with a second bomb in another district, killed 30 people. No more.

Don't take us seriously , I always tell everyone how I am advocate of carpet bombing Hemel (my current home town), which whilst it might get me the Darwin Award it would destroy my residence and wipe out a hell of a lot of... ok some good people.
We are just being laddish, I am quite happy to see the thread locked. My site was damaged, hackers site was damaged, all is good.

Hi all, sorry for the reaction - I'm not angry or anything, and the hackers deserved all they got and probably more. I guess I overreacted to the MOAB business because that bomb attack I mentioned happened in a familiar place, and it still hurts a bit. Apologies to all, and don't let a crusty rusty humourless enginseer dampen the spirits.

Hi!
Tom, is there any reasons the Epicentre has become a target of late?
Just curious.

PHP Nuke every now and then has an exploit posted, junior hackers see it and then use there search engine of choice to find PHP Nuke sites, the more popular the better. Then they graphitti them.
It is a dilema with a straight HTML page we would have very strong security - too simple to hack, but we lose the dynamicness...
A compromise is probably needed, or just custom made PHP engine... if I write it then they hackers won't be able to spend hours pouring over the source code.
I am busy coding for Urban Mammoth at the mo but can look into it... what are the views of the EPIC community?

Hi!
While I realize the burden of the work falls upon you I think perhaps a custom page that make it safer is the way to go, since I feel that the Epicentre may have become a "training site" for hackers to "practice".
