These look awesome, can't wait to see the flying ones.
Are you going to do shooty ones to and if so will they be carrying wierd organic looking rifles or be more of the acid spitting kind?

Thanks! Flying ones are coming next - trying to figure out the wings vs. mold issue...

Yes there will be shooty ones - but all weaponry will be integrated into their biological forms in some manner. Looking to nature for inspiration here.

So here's a WIP shot of the Avinid next to the Stracnid - smaller arms, larger abdomen and stinger, and wings. Both attack their victim by spitting corrosive bile, before savagely biting and stinging their victims:

This guy is going to pose some casting challenges, but I think the outstretched wings will work - just have to keep the undercuts minimal. But as this creature keeps it's little legs close to it's body - it may not be too bad.

The wings also need to maintain at least .75mm thickness to avoid miscasts - so they will look chunky blown up like this.

Thoughts?

These are all great concepts but for me the legs are to close together along the body it looks like they would get in each others way.

Just my thoughts admittedly at this early stage in development.

I really like these. I have been toying with the idea of replacing my xeno army for ages, but never got round to it as whats out there is way too expensive.

I kinda liked the original ones you did, but never enough to really commit. These are excellent though, they have a wonderful mix of cute/evil.


Chubby wings are fine, I'd rather have them chunky and not bend them every time I touch them!

Still cant shake the feeling that they dont really look like the Stygian command figures I was expecting... :whistle :D ;)

I really like the active poses, and the idea that they spit bile is actually better than them carrying "bioguns".

I do prefer the aesthetic of them having guns but in terms of nature this makes more sense. Also, you are cranking these guys out. Great work!
