The whole notion of tech combined with carved stone seems really interesting to me. Somebody posted this early on in the thread, I couldn't help but think of some psychically powerful unit pulling these giant cube/rectangular structures from the ground/sky/warp/whatever. However, but with the added tech, basically half Mayan/Aztec ruin - half Borg Cube.

As for more ideas on Lizardmen, I've been toying with some ideas for whilst working on Sciror, maybe it might inspire you.

Couldn't help but think of Tzacol architecture when seeing this and this.

But I wonder how 'large armies' in the conventional sense would work for this faction, if they'd even would at all. I'd imagine very few specific infantry units, mainly very powerful characters and then big stuff - stone tech devices/creatures and such. It would be a nice contrast from other factions with their massed infantry/vehicles.

Hi!

Those concepts really capture what they ought to be!

More inspiration, maybe as some sort of stone/tech heavy infantry?

Is that from Dark Age? Great game, that!

It would be cool to see a nice heavy infantry.

Basing proxy manufacturing on grandma's designs might not be the best of ideas ? :)

Isn't that what Onslaught Miniatures are already doing? Besides, the sketch I posted here might belong to grandma, but it's not as if they were the first (and only) ones who are playing with meso-American influences in fantasy/scifi.
