Actually, those four were done before the Terran Hybrid line was made - I just reposted them here after the "Great Purge" of the sculpting and casting boards :)

Hey Deacon, are the Terran Hybrids at the same stage of development? I am looking forward to the finished products. Great stuff!

The Hybrids have been checked for errors and passed with flying colors - so they are ready to go once I decide on a caster.

The caster should have the samples by the end of the week - he will then send me some prices, and some samples of their different types of resins. If the price is right, and the product up to snuff, it's go time. :)

Hybrids are next in line - if nothing goes wrong with the process, I'd say the Terran Hybrids will be ready for purchase in a month or so...

A quick update on this project, now dubbed the "Tartarus Command Center"

Image

The lower, troop transport portion of the vehicle is complete. The blue base it's on wont be part of the model, it's only there for sizing - it's 80x60mm. The goal here was to make a monsterous looking transport section, that actually looks like it can hold a platoon of infantry inside it, complete with fire ports, and front and rear deployment ramps.

Now the Tartarus is something that I can really get behind. Nice. What are the plans for the top? More structure, or a landing pad?

Thanks! The Tartarus is going to have much more on top - this is just the troop transporting section. There will be a massive main cannon, multiple secondary weapons, lots of fire ports, communications equipment, etc.

The kit will come in multiple parts, which will allow for easy conversion. There will also be an even larger dedicated troop transport with double the capacity of the Tartarus.

There has also been rumors that the Grud Merchant Guilds have created their own super heavy fighting machines based on the Tartarus chassis...

Cool start on the Tartarus, easy conversion options are always a good idea. I am looking forward to seeing more of this model.

One small point, where will the engine and drive systems be?

That's a good point - here's where the model stands now:

That big plain area on the front, second level will feature the main armament. I was thinking of adding an engine and smoke stacks on the back side of the second level. This may look odd though... Maybe I should move it to the bottom level, but I would have to take out the rear loading door...hmmmm. I'll mess around and see what looks good.

Coming along nicely. The engine would look best on the bottom section IMHO, not only could the drive systems look as though they are powering the rear wheels, it would also help to have the engine on this section for conversions to.

Maybe you could do a small rear passenger door to one side of the engine or something.

Looking forward to the next update.
