Among the endless types of battle constructs created by the Legion, the Winged Stalkers are the most numerous. These creatures swarm in clouds of living creatures thick enough to block out the sun, and act as terrifying shock troopers and scouts for the Legion forces.

While a single winged stalker is relatively easy to destroy, swarms of them pose a very serious threat to any force they are unleashed upon. Different swarms seem to act as a single organism - much like an ant colony or school of fish. It is unknown whether this behavior is purely instinctual, or if some sort of telepathy is utilized.

Winged stalkers have soft, pulpy bodies, wide heads, and long tails that end in stingers that deliver a mild neurotoxin, which can slow the senses of any creature stung, making them an easy target for the rest of the swarm. While they can barley manage an awkward gait on land, they are amazingly dexterous in the air, held aloft on massive insect-like wings.

Like many of the lesser constructs, Winged Stalkers are issued a short-ranged microwave emitter - a weapon that is extremely durable and easy to use, offering deadly results up close with little need for its user to aim.

BTW - taking a break from the biological modeling for a bit, I've started on what will be my first multi-part kit.

This bad boy is for the Terrans - what you see here is a track section - 80mm long. This will be used for a couple of super heavy models, such as mobile command centers and massive troop transports. Smaller versions will be used in a mobile super heavy weapon platform which will offer a variety of different armaments.

This one will take a while, but I thought I'd show yah anyways :)

You sure bubbles don't come out of those microwave guns? ;)

Awesome stuff really though. Keep it up!

The common Legion Stalker plods along the ground in a living tide, deployed by the Legion in swarms numbering in the millions of creatures. While the Winged variety chokes the skies with their teeming masses, the common Stalker creates a virtual carpet of living flesh, claws, and teeth between the ranks of their larger brethren.

Individually, a stalker is quite harmless - skulking away in fear from any perceived threat. In mass numbers, a swarm of Stalkers devour anything in their path, rolling over opposition in an unstoppable mob. There appears to be little in the way of intelligence in a common Stalker - they are simply pointed towards the enemy, and set loose - one following the other in a mindless march of destruction.

Common Stalkers have a tough, leathery hide, and are covered with extremely thick bone-like plates which are capable of deflecting small arms fire. When confronted with heavy firepower, Stalkers can roll their bodies into compact spheres of boney plates until the threat subsides. Stalkers move along on four small, but strong legs, and are often armed with the same microwave emitters that are wielded by most lesser Legion battle constructs.

Has HP Lovecraft risen form the grave to claim IP, or is it only me that cannot view pictures in this thread?

Gashers, as they are called by Terran forces are closely related to common Legion Stalkers, but with a few biological differences that make them much more deadly than their Stalker brethren in close combat.

Gashers are quadrupedal like many Legion battle constructs, but their rear legs are extremely powerful, allowing these creatures to move at blinding speed over the most difficult ground. The forelimbs of the Gasher have been genetically modified to feature razor-sharp bony protrusions which make short work of lightly armored troops once they close the distance to their intended targets. These creatures feature elongated heads, which are packed with highly evolved sensory organs which they use to hunt their quarry with supernatural efficiency.

Prowlers are horrifying creatures well known among the enemies of the Legion as invisible monsters that spring out of the shadows during Legion attacks. Prowlers have chameleon-like skin that blends into their environment, and 4 massive, crushing claws which they use to dissect their prey with lightening speed. The sheer strength behind these crab-like claws renders even heavy armor nearly useless.

Before the Legion launches a ground assault, they seed the target with thousands of Prowler eggs. These eggs can lay dormant for months or even years until the time is right for the Legion to attack. When activated via telepathic signal, the Prowler eggs hatch, with the creatures inside reaching maturity in a matter of weeks. During this time, countless numbers of the target planet's inhabitants go missing, and mangled bodies begin to turn up in droves, sewing mass fear within the population.

As the Legion's main attack commences, Prowlers seem to attack from every darkened corner, causing uncontrollable fear and confusion among the enemy forces.

Look what I got!

These test samples are heading out to the caster for pricing this week. If the price is right, production is right around the corner!
