Shame the side spike has to go :(
I like where the latest version is going though!

Yes! This last version is really great: the knee protection give more punch on the model, I think.
I find that it could be great if the side pick on the knee keep on, and if the calf could be the a little bit finer . But it 's of the detail.

Go on, boy, go on: your job is wonderfull!

I think I can keep the side spike - I'll just need to increase the size - I'll keep playing with it.

Terrans know little about the mysterious race known as the Stygian. They appear in relatively small raiding parties, and are known for dragging screaming non-combatants back to their shadow-ships before a defense can even be mustered. It is said that they can be "summoned" by those who know the ancient rites to do so - but the price is high - and must be paid in the souls of the innocent, one way or another.

Physically, the Stygian are very tall and slender, with jet black forms that absorb all light. For this reason it is very difficult to make out any physical features outside of their stark white eyes which "smoke" slightly like a white hot coal. Some appear to have equally black "hair", but it moves and flows in the air as if submerged in water. Scholars have speculated that the Stygian are actually "shadows" of something else entirely - a manifestation of how the creatures appear in our existence, but that live in another plane entirely. There could be some truth to this, as when Stygian are struck down, their forms "dissipate" into nothingness with little more than an ethereal scream.

They're great. My only critique is that a trooper with a heavy weapon might be more useful than the sergeant on every sprue. Maybe save the sergeant for a command sprue.

I didn't mean for him to be a command figure, though he does look the part... I think you're right about moving him over to a command squad of some sort.

As for a replacement, I want these guys to stick with rifles - I'm planning on doing a squad of heavy / special weapons that can be mixed and matched if desired.

Bab, there are lots and lots and lots of things that need to happen before (I hope!) these Stygians arrive. Take a look at the thread.

Very true - These guys will be in wave 4 - wave 1 is just about ready for purchase, and the bronze masters of wave two should be in hand in a day or two.

To be realistic, I'd say about two months or so.

2 months or so, for the wave 4? But that' s simply marvelous! I fought it would be available in more than 6 months... Well, it's a very good news, for me...

The process is getting faster - not as fast as I'd like....but still, there was a learning process to overcome.

Alrighty, here's the Stygian Hunter squad now:

Hunters armed with heavy and special weaponry will be included in another squad, along with a close combat oriented unit.
