heh guy,

Not sure if there's ever been a Sabre epic model.  Maybe people just use the Predator without the side guns?

Dreads: please see "Imperial Hardware Book, Complete list of models" from the Netepic rules download area(Epicentre).
Also, the Netepic v4s unit description explains better which are which- the Scatolos are the Mark 3 (Epic40k) and 4 (Epic Armageddon) versions- which come with a choice of weapons.  The older ones are as they are named in the Hardware Book.  The Punisher is the SM 2nd Ed version which can be seen here Epicollector

I think the Venerable (Iron Hands) and Furioso (Blood Angels) don't have a model- maybe just there to mirror existing 40k dread models.

Incidentally I saw some of the older dreads (contemptor, deradeo, furibundus etc) at a local shop 2 weeks ago, along with the old style robots, tarantulas and molemortors- 30p (?0.30) each.  If you fancy any, I'll go and check if they are still there.

I'm looking for some of the old robots, tarantulas and mole mortars. Would you mind shipping to the US?

Tell me want you want and how many, and if they're there I'll get them. shippings fine, assuming you're happy to pay.

Not sure about the numbers, but there was maybe 2-4 detachments worth of each???.  Don't get your hopes up too much though- Sheffield's an old GW town, so they might have gone.

Are these quite rare/expensive then?  should I buy the lot and list on the trade section? ie. will people want them?

I think pretty much anything from the AT/SM1 era is fairly rare at this point. They typically go for a good price on ebay. It might not be a bad idea to scoop up everything, especially if they're going for 30p each.

I'm looking for Crusader robots as seen on Epicollector

link

and at least one Mole Mortar and any Tarantuals I can get my hands on. No, I don't mind paying for overseas shipping. It would hardly be the first time. ?:D

EDIT: I'd also consider any of the other metal robot, too, as well as MK I Rapiers.

ahh.. definately no rapiers.. I'd have grabbed a few of those myself.

To clarify they were all mark 1's.  pretty sure there were Crusaders amoungst them, and plenty of mole mortors and tarantulas.

I'll have a look in the next 2 days.  We've had a fair bit of flooding in Sheffield, so there's a chance their staff might not go in to work.. anyway I'll look, buy what there is, and get back to you.

nope, pretty sure there wasn't.  I'll post a list IF they are still there tomorrow.  after the interest, I'll be embaressed if they're not.

In any case this is off topic, so enough of that- tut-tut-tut  :;):

back on topic- can anyone tell darkangel about Sabre Tank models?

Sabres are a Rhino variant. L4 had pics of one a few weeks ago. It has a las-cannon (I think) sticking out of the front of it.

obviously a search of the forum would make sense..ahh.. here.. http://www.tacticalwargames.net/cgi-bin....y167465

just a conversion to epic from an old 40k scale model.  So no Epic production model s made then.

Correct, GW never released an Epic mini for it.

Hey Loofnick, I'll grab any Tarantulas they have.

For a Sabre, remember it is supposed to have a turretted autocannon. ?Here's my take on it:

Not the greatest photo.  Simply a Rhino with a chopped up E40K sprue Autogunner mounted on top.  I'll be finishing a company for my PDF soon and I'll be using plastic Whirlwind hulls for the other 9 of them.
