Post subject:  NetEpic the future?
Hi all,

This one is mainly aimed at Primarch and the NetEpic team.  What's next! Nice and vague question that isn't it  :D

Specifically what's happening regards the following things?

- New models from Games Workshop such as Space Marine Landing Craft, different aircraft models, character models.

- Stats for missing models such as Hydra's, Hydra plaforms etc.  Forgeworld models (to a certain extent)

- Proxy document for Dark Realm Minatures and other new ranges of models (GZG rerelease of Dirtside models etc)  Or new army lists for these?  e.g. humans could be a PDF force unto themselves.

- Review of rules with regards to the creation of a distinct fliers section. General review of rules if required.

- NetEpic gold! Is WM still looking for filler pictures/motif's etc.  

- Version 6 rules?  In planning phase or not thought about?  Are they even required?  Version 5 plays very smoothly and needs minimal interpretation by the play but also offers a nice framework for adaptation..

I'm making the assumption that real life has interupted the on going development of NetEpic.  Or am I missing bits and pieces from the yahoo community?

Yup!!! :D :D :D

Anything you've got we can use. Right now the focus is on Eldar and Chaos. We need pics of Eldar vehicles and infantry in paricular.

Glad to hear it.  :cool:  I'm really looking forward to seeing more.

As far as proxies are concerned, I believe Primarch said that he was waiting to see what else DRM will be releasing before deciding what the "official" proxies are.

I've got a vermen list that's 80% done.  Wasting lots of time because I had to build the document from scratch as no one would give me a .doc/.rts of the existing lists.

Anyone got .doc versions of the Imp Guard, Orc or Eldar army books?  Thinking about a Genestealer Cultist army list based largely on the PDF, Feral Orcs, and Eldar Pirates.  These would probably be mini lists and could be churned out quick with the main books to cut and paste..

Someone should do a Dracon variant....some lizards that got left behind by the Slann and built up their own tech base....viola instant use for Kraytonians.

On the subject, one potential (particularly with the Andrayada) is fixing up the NetEpic Necron list.  Maybe make it stand alone and update all the unit types so they are more in line with GW cannon.

A vermen list?  As in Skaven equivalent for 40K?

Would be very useful if the templates for army list was available to us I agree.  

I'd love to put together some templates based on the AM Drop ship for the SM Landing Craft the thing that is putting me off is the time needed to put together everything in the template.

That is what I love about NetEpic it allows for a greater flexibility where all the forgotten army lists can be incorporated.  Genestealer cults were great.  You could probably use the PDF forces and the genestealers from the Tyrannid book.  Hybrids would be a problem though!  Great idea thoug Zap.

We'll have to wait on tender hooks till they reveal their plans I think!

Have you created stats for NetEpic at all?  I've done some basic weapons layouts and how many troops it can carry but unsure on price of the model.

I have always liked the Cult and did not like when they just ignored them and made them a single "type" of Tyranid. I figure with the other factions, they could have left them as their own faction. I mean the cult was just too cool.  :laugh:

Hey CS....cool, I'll leave Genestealer Cults to you.  Just make sure there are plenty of Coven Limos in the list....I've been busily making them and I'd hate to see them go to waste  :)

Oh yeah, Vermen = modern Skaven = space Rats  :)

Complete with Quad titans, pestilential rats in packs, and Rat Ogres!
