So Primarch has me thinking, what would you change if you could?
What in the fluff would you have rather done/added/not added?
How would the 40k universe be different if you were the one in charge?

I bet I can guess the most popular answer here.... The Squats would never have died (well, they haven't not really) but would be the most powerful race of them all!

Machine god would not exist. The AM would still be trying to placate machine spirits but they would be part of the Imperial cult.
Titan orders would NOT be part of AM.
Legio Cybernetica would still exist.
Imperial tech level would not be as ridiculous as it has become with the macine god.

Quote (Mojarn Piett @ 14 2005 June,10:48) | Sure, and what next? Emperor is in fact a really devious chaos god? ? | Ummm... he kinda is - being the Star Child and all that.

Quote (Mojarn Piett @ 14 2005 June,11:48) | You're welcome to try and send some skitarii here, my Grey Kinghts and Squats need some target practice. | Actually I had something slightly larger in mind - your tin men and beards might just hit the side of an Imperator...
And, as Netepic rightly pointed out, it's one big chaos god party out there - Mork 'n' Gork included!

Marine chapters would be 15,000-100,000 strong. Legions would contain several million space marines. The current numbers for SM chapters are just plain stupid, no matter how superhuman they are. If I had a SM invasion of my world, I would simply make sure most of the chapter has landed before sending a few nukes at them. pretty easy way to whipe them out for the cost of only a few trillion civil population And voil?, the blood angels suddenly do not exist anymore.
I would make the storiline MOVE, but not like the poop of the eye of terror campaign, but really move forward. They have moved the storyline 3 years in 30 years of gaming. Great.
I would sack gav thorpe from GW as well, but that is an other matter.
Heath and sixes,
Xavi

Hi Guys,
- I think I'd tone done the whole "Emperor is a soul vampire" bit and go with something slightly more hard sci-fi. - I'd also remove or change a lot of the overtly Christian references (Inquisition, sisterhoods of nuns, etc.) that the 40k background could work well without. - The bad guys, chaos, would be more space alien than demon.
- And the whole nurgle nose-picker thing would HAVE to go!
Shalom, Maksim-Smelchak.
