Hi!
Thats a legitimate concern. I have always been pretty angry with GW's insistance on appealing to 40k'ers. Different games, scales and philosophies. I think epic is its own game and should stand on its own merits and not be "little 40k". It didn't work for epic4ok, so I hope they dont make that mistake again.

We've just got to hope that they plug it A LOT in WD, with loads of battle reports, army collecting features, painting and converting and so on, not just one release issue and then just have epic stuff only in Epic Magazine.... Now that is an extreme possibility which will pretty much definatly not happen... ..we can only hope I guess

Hi!
In light of what they have done with other "lesser" games its unlikely epic will get much exposure beyond a few introductory issues, then it will all go to the epic magazine. Whtaever new blood comes in will come through that. Will that be enough? Time will tell as always.

Mind you Warmaster and BFG had the same advertising problems but they are still doing well... however with proper advertising they could be doing amazingly.
Blood Bowl is another game they need to advertise more, and for gods sake... someone PLEASE bring back Mighty Empires!!! It was the only reason I played WFB!

Remember that Warmaster and BFG were basicaly completely new game systems, whereas Epic40k was the 3rd edition of the game.... Perhaps this has something to do with things too?

True, though there was Space Fleet before BFG . Nice models, but god awful rules! (Except for the subplots and experience, they rocked.)
The tyranid fleet looked rubbish though, like an aquarian with bad attitude.

I'm using the old "Space Fleet" 'Nids for Epic, to reenforce my Epic Tyranid force. ?Some make great Harridans, or glued in proper combinations, great "bio-tanks" as well as other conversions. ?The Spore Mines, both Space Fleet + 1st & 2nd edition 40K make great "weird off-world" terrain. ?Some day I'll take photos ...

Yeah, me too. I traded 'em off a few months back. When I started to revamp my epic forces. I feel bad now. Because I am going to start getting into BFG.

Lol, I am not the only BFG convert then! Things were so much simpler... and cheaper when I only really played NetEPIC, then all these other games came along and tempted me! And now my bank balance suffers.

The BFG Nid player at our local club has made all his ships himself, and they look awesome. He has based them on the new ships, but uses parts from 40K Nids. And if you look closely at the BFG Nids, this is where they based there's on. His look pretty much identical, yet cost him pretty much nothing.

, I haven't tried Tyranids, but as I don't have tyranid 40k or epic army, I couldn't use them in campaigns.

Hi!
Thats the one skill I wish I had, sculpting. I'd be mass producing all sorts of stuff if I knew how to do that.
I've actually gone the reverse route Tom, as time goes by I get OUT of more games, I am left with only epic and WWII 6mm. I have bailed out of quite a few games and refuse to take on anymore.
Although warmaster is tempting...

..Having played Warmaster a few times, I have to really reccomend it... while I don't like it as much as Epic or BFG (no superheavy tanks or 3km long spaceships! hehe), it is incredibally playable and a lot of fun!!
