Maybe I'm crazy...I just thinkin to use old spacehulk sheets to uses as a facilities/starship/orwathever and can play a boarding ship combat or inside capitol imperialis combat or inside imperator titan combat, my questions are: - is it better to use a cm to square conversion to move the troops than use the normal cm measure? - is correct to limit infantry and light vehicles to this rules? maybe if the creature (the rules ![]() I need Ideas ![]() In fact I think that this idea add a new battle dimension, the infantry take more importance and the EPIC/BFG players can experiment new campaign modes. and at last we can play the assault to the Horus ship !!!! in a epic scale battle!!! cheers ![]() |

Hi! Your not crazy, some people have thought of this before, but no one has completed some rules to play it. I think that movement in cms per square is good, or just change movement to how many squares you can move. Any unit larger than a square could no navigate the passageways and need to stay in large rooms in defense. Primarch |

What a great idea, bans. I agree that it would allow for fighting lots of "indoor" battles, like hive cities, factories, Horus' battle barge, etc. You might not have to limit it to just infantry and light vehicles, but artillery would probably be of little use due to overhead obstructions blocking artillery from lobbing its shells. Battles in large docking bays or hangars certainly could accomodate larger vehicles and Titans. The easiest way to convert from outdoors to indoors may be to assign a number of cms per square, such as each square equals 10 cms. That way you wouldn't have to rewrite every unit's stats from cms to squares. |

Played Epic using Space Hulk tiles years ago ... we used the scenario from the old game that came in a very old W/D, of the Emp's invasion of Horus's Barge. Neat and it could be done ... we did it with little rule change ... ![]() |

Ok people We have solved the "cm to titles" conversion. Now we need a special rule for barrages. With this I think that we can to start to play with the titles. The basics are: -To calculate the number squares to move this rule can be used 5cm equal 1 square. - major units and heavy units are not allowed to move inside the corridors, they can move inside dockbays or large rooms at doble movement costs. -Barrage propagation rules, 1 Barrage point equal to 4 detonated Squares ( 1BP = 4 DS) the propagation is like a wave, if you have a wall add the DS to any available square from left to right alternate. Something like this In a two In a one squares square corridor corridor ------ ---------- sDdsss ssdDddss sddsss --------- ------ where (s=Square, D=detonation square #1, d=detonation square #n, -=Wall). I don't know if you understand me ![]() ![]() ![]() bans |

Bans, I do understand your proposed barrage rule! ![]() Also, I'm not sure if many barrages could be fired in a corridor. It seems to me that most artillery would hit the ceiling due to the trajectory shells take to the target. In any case, I like the progress you're making. ![]() |

Yes you are right maybe the best choice is to do a simple table BP-DS. bans |

I'm glad you like the idea. I forgot to mention, 4 squares per barrage template does seem to me to be around the right size. |
