This time my question is really simple: Is there any way to have tactical marines transported by Land Raiders according to the netepic rules? (I dont remember exactly how this worked in SM 2ed, but in SM 1 I think you could choose either, as detachments of infantry and vehicles were separate)

Well you're correct about SM1, once a L/Raider or Rhino drops off their troops, they are separate detachments again. ?When you choose your forces you can pick what type of transport from the Bn Transport Pool, based on how you designed your unit templates. We still use the SM1 templates, they are actually quite good. ?But after commanding a Mech Co. and servicing in 3 Mech Bns, what do I know, as I have said before. ? Primarch, this looks like a job for you ... , SM2 & Netepic are your areas of expertise, yes ?!

That's one of the rules I didn't like from SM2 about the Rhinos having to stay so close, too close to be realistic, from dismounted troops. However based on the overall rules it works for SM2 players. But as I said, what do I know ?

Rather boring, I know. What I once planned on doing (it is still in the back of my mind) is to assemble my entire chapter and paint it all in one weekend without sleep. Crazy i know.
Cheers

Crazy indeed Chris!!
I'm painting my Ultramarines at the moment, and to make it less of a chore, I break the boring tactical marine painting sessions up with painting a titan, a 40k model, anything really, that is mildly more interesting..

It just consists of all the stuff from the SM2 box set which I was lucky enough to have **given** (!!) to me- thats 24-odd Rhinos, about 50 SM tactical stands, and 12 Land Raiders- not massive, but it still looks pretty good almost all painted up now... and especially good with an old Warlord and my new Imperator lurking behind them....along with the few old Knights I have...
