I recently picked up some nurglings, and i had assumed they were from the 1997 > 2005+ era, as i'd never seen them or seen any rules for them in SM2/TL or NetEpic, however i just realised these are sculpts from 1991 ?! > http://www.solegends.com/citcat1991a/ca ... ons-02.htm Does anyone have any info on them, or was this another case of GW releasing a mini or rules without it's counterpart, or were they used in 1st Edition? Yes, they came out around the same time as the other Lesser Daemons. I think the only edition where they've ever had rules is Epic Armageddon, in the Ghallamore Incursion Daemon list, and my Death Guard list. |

Thanks Ian, Yes, seemed to appear in '91 and disappeared in '92 before they released the Renegades expansion for SM2. bit odd! Ach well, painted them up for fun and will hold on to them for the sake of completeness, or if i ever get around to trying out this new fangled Epic: Armageddon game i hear all the kids talking about! They did have official rules for 1st edition, that were published in an issue of White Dwarf. I do not recall which one offhand. I use them with NetEpic Gold rules, with the following stats. Support formation: 5 bases, BP 3, VP 1; cost 50 Move Save CAF Weapons Special 10cm _6+ _ +2 _ -- ____ Daemon, Cloud of Flies (cannot be outnumbered in CC) In the Points Formula, the formation costs 82 with the same VP. |
