When are psychic powers used?

e.g. the eldrich storm from the farseer. If used in the first fire segment all the text about movement through it is a moot points as there is no more movement after the first fire segment?

In general I think some clarity on psychic powers would make it easier to activate them correctly.

There was a discussion about exactly this some time ago in another thread. Unfortunately, I don't recall exactly which thread nor what the result of the discussion was.

I searched a bit based on your reply:

viewtopic.php?f=14&t=30605&hilit=psychic+powers

From what I can gather from that thread, psychic powers are used "when you want" meaning when the psychic wielder chooses to use it but only after the order phase.

That would also allow one to use the eldrich storm and use the movement part of the rules for eldrich storm.

Thanks for the reply Magnus.

Well, yes and no. That thread was (mostly) just about Warlock Titans and their powers, but the general principle can apply to other powers. That principle being: Read the description of the Power in question very carefully and apply anything it says as literally as possible. For example, with the Warlock Titan when it can use Witch Sight would depend on the orders selected for it during the Movement Phase, but the other two powers can be used at any time.

The Warlock stand lists no restrictions as to when any of those powers can be used, thus they should be usable at any time.
