Primarch, I just noticed something looking through my NE Gold docs. This is common across all books, but I will use this as an example adeptusastares.pdf - 8/23/2010 - 24905KB adeptusastares_with_eratta.pdf - 3/31/2015 - 12898KB What gives with the size difference? |

My adeptusastares.pdf also show difference between the old and 'with errata' versions, but not that large oddly. Mine are: old 19262 KB new 12898 KB Both versions have the same page count. In going through both simultaneously, at first I saw no differences. After a few pages, I noticed that the printing in the old version was noticeably darker than the errata one. It's almost as if all the text is Bold and the Bold is extra bold when compared to the errata version. The errata version is perfectly legible, so it should be good. This could account for the difference, but I'm not sure. Other than that the only difference that I can think of is that, perhaps, the newer one was saved with a more efficient program than the old version and thus takes up less space. That is, of course, just conjecture. |

The original ones were done in an older version of Indesign and the updated ones are in a latest version which seems to compress the data better, especially when exported to PDF. Primarch |
