Post subject:  NetEpic "tactica"
Hi guys,
just wondering if anyone has (or would want to do) done "Tactica"s for each army, in similar way to how they were done in the old WDs? A sort of general overview of the units/armies with their strengths/weaknesses discussed and overall army tactics? I've looked (or at least think I have...) at pretty much every thread here and haven't seen anything similar.

I'll wait and see if anyone bites and posts some stuff, before I sit down and give the rundown on my own thoughts and experiences. :)

It probably wouldn't hurt to have multiple people look at each army, as different people do things ... differently.

Yeah,

And there are different tactics depending on which army you play against. So this may become quite comprehensive :)

Something a bit like this? I started writing that for second edition, but never got round to finishing it.

This is great! Would be perfect to have something this comprehensive for everything! That would be a massive amount of work though.

Looks like I need to finish that then if it's of interest to some of you :).

I could also compile a NetEpic version of that if that would be helpful. That would actually result in the NetEpic board as Specialist Arms forum being used for something.

I agree! That would be brilliant! It might also give me a few tips as to how to actually win some battles! My form has been very poor indeed. :-[

I'll see what I can do. I can't promise that it will get done quickly though. For now, I may just get that second edition guide finished, and that can serve as a basis for NetEpic tactics for the Eldar as well, since there are quite a few similarities for most of the units.

Get the Eldar finished off first (hope I didn't miss it if it already was :-[ ), then the other "big" two - Marines and Orks, then IG and Chaos, then Tyranids & Squats, then the newer armies (Tau/DE/Necron), then the fun "alternatives". I haven't thought about this at all...
