Hi!

Since I see we are now talking more about organizational/layout concerns and how to make the book more presentable and user friendly, I ask.

Are we done with the revision?

What I mean by this is are the main "nagging" issues for specific army lists been brought up and resolved?

I understand that proof reading still needs to be done on several books, but that can be cobbled into the update of the layout.

In simpler terms, are any issues with "stats" or "balance" still open?

Once I get the input on everyone on this I can make a determination if this segment is "done" and we can focus on updating and how the process will be handled to insure maximum feedback.

I think there are still a few issues to be agreed upon, I know we were still "discussing" a few things for the marines.

Hi!

Okay. I'll continue to monitor. :)

I am rapidly cleaning up the spreadsheet files now that I have the copy/pasted templates. It will be easier to manipulate them further after i am done formatting them.

Should I send them to you directly Mattman or upload them in the appropriate thread?

Hey Primarch,

I suspect it may take a little while to get everyone to agree to some of the things, but it isn't as if we don't have any rules to use ;)

Put them on the excel thread and I will grab them from there. It will also allow other people to pick them up and give them a chance to play with them if they want to.

Hi!

You are probably right. It's that I want to give assurance that unlike the last revision that from its start to producing the gold version about 10 years flew by, this time it will be far less than that. ;)

I will put them up on the excel thread then. I'm giving this my priority attention since an army builder is very important. :)

Hello!

Given that we're at the end of the year, I'm thinking that this may be a good time to review where we're at with this project... So, over to you Primarch, what's the latest? ;)

Hi!

I believe that what will constitute the bulk of net epic gold updating/correcting has been done and I will slowly attend to it over the course of 2014.

The Platinum version is a much heavier lift since it will update the rules to the more modern units and such. Also I have been discussing with Mattman a full blown points system for people to settle the issue if points balance once and for all.

Once I have hammered down the basic, that will be the first and most salient issue for 2014.

That's good news. I'm really looking forward to getting the gold version printed.

Hi!

So do I. :)

However I feel the need to make some sort of errata document to ensure that those whom have printed it over the last few years don't feel left out. Those can only print that portion of it to feel "complete".

Obviously if we pull together the errata docs first then everyone can use them until the actual army books are updated.

To go with Primarchs plans on working on the points for Platinum, I am looking at reworking the way armies are constructed which will make them a lot more flexible and accessible to all Epic players.

Hi!

This is also a major priority. A more accessible army construction method is necessary. It will be easy to reconstruct the old formation, but also permit more flexible formations to accommodate a wider variety of them.

I look forward to seeing the errata document for the Gold rules. Thanks to everyone who has been involved in doing the arduous but necessary task of proof reading.
