Hello - another question :)

If I have two tactical marine stands in a Rhino, and both the Rhino and the stands inside it have charge orders, normally the Rhino would move 45cm, and then the troops would disembark and move another 15cm.

Assume that the Rhino is destroyed after only moving 10 cm. Assume the marines make their bail out roll. Do they get to complete their 15cm movement? Or they are placed outside the spot where the Rhino was destroyed?

Assume a thunderhawk gunship has assault marines in it and is flying high. Same situation as above.

1) If the Assault Marines make their bail out roll, do they float to the ground? If it were tactical marines, I would assume they don't get a bail out roll (in that they might survive the hit that destroyes the gunship, but not the fall to the ground).

2) If the Assault Marines do float to the ground, do they get to complete their movement, or do they just land at the spot the gunship was destroyed?

Thanks!

Jake

I'm used to play this way:

1) yes for both (transported troops without jump-pack will drop like a stone to the ground)

2) complete movement - disembark movement penalty

One more question. Do troops get a bail out roll if they are in a transport when it is destroyed in close combat?

For instance, I have a rhino loaded with two tactical marine stands. I move it, and keep them in the transport. The rhino is engaged by a single enemy stand. I can't get the infantry out, since they have already activated.

Assume the enemy stand defeats the rhino. The rhno dies, with no save.

1) Do the tactical stands get a bail out roll?
2) Is that roll modified at all?

I'd say no bail out-roll for units in transports destroyed in CC.
