Hi Duz, I rechecked the final V2.0 that can be found on you web page. And after checking profiles/costs, that's just an Over The Top army. I looks like a standard army list with 30% discount price on all units. Build a list in standard IG list, take the same companies/supports card with you Dkok list and see the price difference. You can field at least 25% more units with the dkok...It's an hold-up. Just an example that can be repeated during all the list exploration: - 375 points for 3 manticores battery, would cost 600 points in standard army list. OK Dkok ones can't move but...really, this can not be ok. Take 5 manticores companies and look at your opponent crying when you'll adjust the 45 6cm templates on the table every 2 turns... |

i did not like that hack either it was do to the unik size and stucture of the line corps i tried to accomplish the feeling of that was why i asked if major rewrite of the game mechanics of the list by splitting it in to 2 lists a line/siege corp list and a assault corp list with widely different point cost and would do the trick. the trouble is that the DKoK uses mass assault as a way to win but how to make that feeling in to a list please feel free to come up with suggestions on how to make this creasy contradiction between fluf and game mechanics work i really need your input p.s. look at my original posts on the DKok treat |

V2.0 is pretty well written and laid out. Structurally, it would be good if all the stats were at the back like a V5.0 NetEpic book. Also using full block for the text would improve appearance. There are also some great ideas in there (the trailer is excellent). However, if you want it taken seriously as a NetEpic army list there are some issues too: - WAY too many company cards (26!). It is just too messy. Cut this down a lot. 15 would be a good maximum. - Get rid of the fluff based discount. There's no way you can justify that. Fluff is just fluff. Price the units properly. There are a number of the new units with price/performance I'd debate (Valdor!!!) but it's probably not worth going through them individually unless the major issues are addressed first. If you want the feel of a mass assault army then big company cards and no detachment options IS the way to go. I would take some of your excellent ideas and focus on them, and strip out a lot of the complicated stuff (All of the Engineers bit for example ), and non core stuff like the Marauder company (bad idea!) and non-Krieg tanks. With the shorter ranged Tacs, move or fire heavies (generic, and in their own detachments rather than mixed with Tacs) and the Grenadiers, supported by some large companies of Krieg specialist armour you can get the mass assault feel. But, they must be costed so the army is balanced, and in general big companies should be MORE expensive not less. |

Hi zap I have pm'd you with a request for at work together session to iron out the kink and dent of the rules personally I really like the entrenchment rules from 2.0 but I also hated the discount rule set but I saw it at the time to get the fluf to not be direct contradictionay to the list but I really need a way and input to make it work would you accept a session to make the list work |
