Still missing a couple of images as mentioned in the IMAGES NEEDED thread. For the MBT and APC I've left a couple of options. I'd like opinions on which model you think fits the description best.

Proof reading will be closed on July 6th

Enjoy :)

Fast scan through for oblivious things (haven't actually read the text):

cover page, 2005-2006 '-' should be an en dash not a hyphen, same as pointed out last time

contents page, page numbers should be set right not left?

In general, inconsistent glyph being used for a minus, seems to be ranging from hyphen to em size
(eg on page 5 vs on page 7)

p 6 Restrictions box, 2 and 3 are lacking a full stop at the end

p 7 Restrictions, full stops again (don't know if you want them or not but atm its inconsistent)

p9 'Mech-Priest:' looks to be about 1mm too high in relation to its background cartouche

p10 more of the unit names are out of line verticality with their cartouche, make consistent

p13 same with unit names, infact its off throughout document in places

p14 overlord effects table, currently using hyphens for numerical ranges, change to ens
add full stop on the 6 roll info

p18 en dashes
p19 en dashes
p20 en dashes (also check minus signs as with rest of document)
p21 en dashes
p22 en dashes!

on the praetorian templates, the front and rear view have 'Front' and 'Rear' centred on top of the diagram, it is not centred for 'Side'

colossus has 'max' after its 10 cm movement value, other praetorians do not

On page 20 cyclops hit-location-template SIDE
the hellfury cannon hit-locations are not concise with the hull location

cyclops hit-location-template REAR
the line between the upper sections and middle sections
is thicker than the other ones
I recognized that on the behemoth template too

anyway fantastic work WMN

I couldnt find many errors at all. Must be that its close to perfect eyy?

From the bottom as usual.

-1- Page 27.

Thunderfire range should be in cm:ers.

-2- Page 24:

Ram Squadron * should have a VP value of 3. Not 4 as is stated now.

As a note I can see that all other squadrons with 3 units in them do not have a VP increase since they dont
have a BP increase. Thank you for that. I have been jerking the forums chain about that.

-3- Page 22 Leviathan template (side) is slightly errrored. Or something.

-4- Page 21 Line under Crippled. "CAF halved and Command ability lost." Go 2 mm to far to the right.

-5- Page 21 Line under "Damaged and Crippled. No movement until repaired and only half speed even then." Go 2 mm to far to the right.

-6- Page 20 Lower the Rear template 1 mm to the same height to the others.

-7- Page 19 Raise the Rear template 1 mm to the same height to the others.

-8- Page 19 3 Lines under/in Move "CAF Shields Repair Notes" go to far to the right. Shorten them 2 mm or something.

-9- Page 19 2 lines in track damage go to far to the right. Its the same in the whole book at 20 different places I see now. They are easy to spot now when I have marked out a few.

-10- Page 18 Boxes in the "front" section are not 100% aligned/correct. Move two of them 1 nm or something for a perfect score.

Could be a bad subject for this thread.. But..

I was thinking about the battlecars and how they are mixed at the moment (it has always been that way) It would be wonderful if we were able to note who goes with the tunneler-train and who does not. One suggestion might be to change their name to...

From - Buoy Battle car

to

Drummmms

Tunnel Buoy Battle car
or.

Tunnel battlecar - Buoy

Ok ok ok. Come up with a better idea. Its too late for me.

Later dudas.

BTW: Very good job with the book.

Signing off.

/P

Cheers guys :)

A few comments:

The robotic command vehicle

Just picked the model because I had the image on my HD. It won't make it to the printed book since it is an EW model and would conflict with IP. Suggestions for a replacement are very welcome :)

Good point. Suggestions on how to fix this? Preferably without adding too many extra letters (as it might offset the tables. Not a huge problem, but it would be simpler if we dodn't have to worry about that :) )

A couple of places there's some misallignment. Though, some of it can be display issues: When zoomed in 4000% (which is max in the program) it may be a single pixel on my screen that I cannot get to allign. However when displayed on the screen the misallignment is exaggerated. It should look fine on print though. I do double check the places you mention, but just saying that sometimes there's little I can do to fix it :)

It's copy pasted from the original word documents, but I'm not sure if this could be something that differs from country to country? For example my keyboard layout doesn't even have a way to differentiate between dashes or hyphens, so I figure that since the original documents have been passed between people from a number of different countries, some mixups have happened. I'll see what I can do to make it a bit more consistent though.

What about a slightly converted Liviathan
with a crane and maybe open doors?

My keyboard does not have a dash key either, im not sure if any do, (although you can just do alt+- in InDesign in windows, or insert glyph/character), but its still incorrect regardless of country. The only way it differs from country to currently is the use of en dash versus em dash, but for numerical ranges it'd always be an en anyway.

En dashes should be used for numerical ranges (hence its needed a lot on pages 18 to 22 as well).

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dash (or any book on typography if you dont trust wiki :D )

Optional rule: Defensive aerial fire
This only applies to overlord amoured airships
which shoot always on FF
this means that the OAAS never has the -1 to hit modifer from Snap Fire
right?
