I've been working on collecting all of the hard to find Citadel Journal issues that have epic stuff in them, and maybe scanning in the articles and creating a sort of compendium of stuff

A few weeks back I ran into a rarity. Citadel Journal #1... and what did it have in it? It had the Space Marine rules for Eldar knights that actually gives stats for more than just the well known variants that we've all been used to.

Instead of just the Fire gale, bright stallion, and Towering Destroyer it gave a whole bunch more.

For the fire knights:
Fire Gale
Fire Reaper
Fire Storm

For the Bright Warriors
Bright Stallion
Bright Stalker

For the Towering knights
Towering destoryer
Towering Fury

For the imperium
Praetorian Knights
Sabre
Scimitar
Claymore

Centurion Knights
Hunter
Striker

And finally
Lords

Do you suppose we might want to add these to the final book for netepic optional rules and units?

Would there be any issue with posting scans of these pages on epicomms?

Will do, then.

Is it okay to just post the scans to the forum? or should I put them offline on Media fire or something?

Also, at work right now, so I'll do it when I get home tonight.

For those wondering though, here are some examples.

Fire knights

Firegale
Move 20cm
saving throw 3+
CAF +2
Weapons
Mealstrom laser Range :75cm Attack dice 2 To hit 4+ Save mod -2
Scatterlaser Range 25cm Attack dice 3 To hit 5+ save mod 0
Notes: Psychic lance, holofields

Fire reaper
Move 20cm
Save:3+
CAF:+3
Weapons
Lascannon Range 50cm Attackdice 3 Roll to hit 5+ Save mod -1
Notes:psychic lance, holofield

Fire Storm
Move 20cm
Save 3+
CAF +2
Weapons
Missiles Range 100cm 4 barrage points save mod -2
Shurikens Range 25cm dice 2 to hit 6+ save mod 0
notes Psychic lance Holofields.

All in all I like the Fire storm and the Firegale.

A trio of firestorms could generate 12 barage points. And artillery is something that the eldar need to effectively combat units like IG or Orks.

You do know they already exist in NetEpic right :)

The CJ article was considered cannon so the Eldar Knight list is pretty much word for word. For the Eldar we do seem to have lost the Bright Stalker somewhere (not a big deal IMO, the Stallion is superior), and added a Knight Baron, but otherwise its verbatim. If you dig back through here I posted a couple of batreps of my Eldar Knights where I make use of the variants.

For the Imperials, the Titan Legion knights that came later superceded the old CJ rules (and are better IMO) but the Wardens from the CJ article were carried across.

Sorry to resurrect such an old thread, but I'm despairing of ever locating a copy of just these rules from CJ1 - does anyone have a scan? I know the chances of ever actually obtaining the magazine itself are near enough to nil as to make no difference.

Thanks.

pm me if you still need a scan and i will see if i can find them for you. Include a private email address as that is easier for sending any scans.
