In an attempt to minimize the proof readig needed, can someone please confirm that the file I have been sent to work from, "07 Eldar Army Book v5.1G Final", is indeed the latest book with the latest erratta?
And in case it isn't, then please send me the latest updated document to work from

I guess Zappedido or The Primarch are the ones that might know.

I have the same version as U do though.

Good luck with the Eldar. Allways hated their greenskins!

Not sure if this is where this should go but...

I've been looking at the Eldar list as requested. I may have found some things.

The Saim-Hann Farseer and Warlock: These can be taken as Jetbike troops at the same cost yet in the core rules it states that special cards for companies or in this case Hosts of Cavalry/Bike etc get to do this anyway. So, really it's no big woop because any of the other Craftworlds or Exodites etc could do this. Isn't that so?

Alaitoc Rangers/Pathfinders: You get these for 100 points as a support card but if you play Alaitoc you get to take them as a Special Card for what appears to be 100 points. Shouldn't these be free? Also, I had a hard time identifying Alaitoc Rangers under Pathfinders, can we think of the other mentally chalenged like me that may be looking at these lists please.

Ulthwe Guardian Storm Squad: 4 Heavy Weapon Guardians in a squad is a bit weird. These should also be available to all other craftworlds. There's nothing about them being exclusive to Uthwe in the background fluff... and I've already painted mine Saim-Hann. C'mon, your killing me here.

So far that's all. The Doom Weaver may cause problems but it always has. I just think if it causes First Fire Units to go on Advance then why does it not effect Advance Fire units. Like perhaps a -1 to hit due to being disrupted while having to move out the path of Monofiliment Webs. (Only if the target can be effected of course).

1. Um, yes.  I guess it makes it easier for people who didn't notice the rule elsewhere.

2.

If you run Alaitoc Craftworld then instead of Pathfinders, you may purchase Alaitoc Rangers which have the same stats but gain the Deploy Anywhere special ability.

All the free cards got taken away.  I miss them too.

3. These are a new unit in NE.  The "Ulthwe dont have many Aspects so Guardians have to do the Reapers' job" was the justification for Ulthwe only IIRC.  Makes sense to me.  There was a suggestion that detachment size should be 6 which I kinda agree with, but not sure it's a biggie.

1) So what do Saim Hann get for free now? And you can bog off about being allowed to take Wind Riders. I was in that war. My daddy died fighting for the right to bring back the Wind Rider Host! And don't even go near mentioning the Revenant either because what do the Saim Hann not get allowed to field? Heavy stuff. I don't disagree with that, it's all part of the cost so as I see it the Wind Rider Host and Revenant stuff is paid for. Bring Back the Wild Riders for free and stop fobbing people off with Jetbike Warlocks and Farseers they were getting anyway.

2) Free cards are still there they just got slapped onto certain Host Cards for SOME but not ALL Craftworlds. So you still get them IF you take the Host (of an appropriate Craftworld: Iyanden and Ulthwe), and those don't cost nuthin' extra. And you know it too. So stop hiding the good stuff and let everyone (other Craftworlds) get their share. Alaitoc Rangers should be for free but it still takes up a special card slot. Seems fair.

3) So Ulthwe get more Guardians, fine. That doesn't mean other Craftworlds should be deprived of these units though, that's a very odd notion. (Iyanden being the one possible exception). What, did all the Storm Guardians just up and leave one day because they were giving out free dental at the Ulthwe Job Fare? Oh, c'mon now.

...there, now do you still miss me?

*Of course an Eldar Titan with a close combat weapon would be tops... uh, ok, maybe it was a bad time to bring that one up again... umm, yeah*

Ahahah...Saim Hann do not need anything for free, they have a super discount on Wind host rider! -350 points ont the total, what do you need for free when you have cash-back! About the tempest restriction (no tempest host), it's useless, you can field as many scorpions/storm serpents/cobras as you need. saim-Hann Revenants are cool, you get them as support card (not as special cards like others craftworlds) so you can field more...

Yeah, it was. They got it back to front. The Eldar Battle Report/s in the Battles Book and I think one of the articles in one of the White Dwarf magazines supports this.

They made other mistakes on the cards which they had an errata for in the Warlords rules set. I think on the inside cover or first page IIRC.

I used to have so much fun before someone pointed this out to me. Scorpions for 100 points and Tempest Squads for 300 points.

I'm OK with the 6 stands for Ulthwe Heavy guardians detachment at 200 points. They have same statiscally chances to hit than Dark Reapers (4 hits per detachment but less special abilities).

Are you meaning that you'd like to be able to pick any codex craftworld card to place it in another one ? Like having the Biel Tan Phoenix Host or Ulthwe heavy weapons guardians in your Saim-Hann army ?  :sulk: No, I think I'm misunderstanding what you mean

Oops, sometimes my words are drivel... No that wasn't what I was meaning.

Just meant that Iyanden and Ulthwe... and yeah ok, Saim Hann too damnit... DO get free stuff so why not the others. It hasn't been done away with, just neatened away so saying it has been done away with as Zap has, isn't right. Nes Pa?
