@ Zap: This is not about "Shoot the thin part". It is about pinning. The text now found in gold suggests that floaters & flyers cannot be pinned only while at high altitude. This has been identified as an error in the NE errata (where this point is taken from).

it's not a rule change, it's an error that needs fixing

OK. Zap: Your final ruling on this before I close the files and upload the new versions?

BTW: The word document I recieved to work from on the Chaos Book is called "05 Chaos Army Book v5.1K final". Could you please confirm that this is the version I should use? As previously mentioned it is much easier to make changes before I start transfering it to the graphic template, so could someone have a quick look through it while I finish the last graphic preparations? :)

A clarification regarding the Ork book.
I notice there's two almost identical tables for both Slasha and Great Gargants. One table allows you to choose between different types of belly gun. The other is limited to Gutbuster only. Can I just copy/paste the entire table except that part or are there any other differeces between the two that I need to be aware of?

is there a word file or an unmodified pdf with all the changes available?
maybe we can skip a second errata phase for the other "gold" books.
Maybe "black" will suit it better, not that much color in it :)

thanks in advance

Hi!

There are differences in weapon load outs between the two. This table best describes who gets what.

Location      Description           Who Can Use It     Cost
Arm           Deth Cannon                 S             85
             Gatling Cannon              G             75
             Magnum Mega Cannon          G             85
             Ripper Fist                 G, S          65
             Slasha Attack Gun           S             75
             Supa Lifta-Droppa           G             75

Centerline    Cluster Buster              S             65
             Gutbuster                   G, S          100
             Snapper                     G, S          25

Head          Battle Cannon Head          G             65
             Gork/Mork Head              G, S          50

Turret        Battle Cannon Turret        G             50
             Observation Turret          G             50
             Scorcher Turret             G             25

Anti-Aircraft Magna Kannon                G, S          50
             Flak Kannon                 G, S          35

G = Great Gargant, S = Slasha Gargant

Not sure if I'm understanding you correctly P.

What I meant was that there are two datafaxes for Great Gargants detailing damage effects etc. The only noticable difference at first glance is that one datafax has the Gutbuster as a fixed weapon choice, whereas the second datafax has optional weapons for all weapo locations. The same double datafax applies to the Slasha.
What I want to know is werther the two Great Gargant tables (and the two Slasha tables) are identical except for that weapon option (ie. same damage effects, hit locations, saves etc.) so I can simply copy the datafax and adjust it slightly, instead of rebuilding it completely from scratch.

Hi!

Hmmm, I think we're having a semantics problems, since I'm still not quite sure what you mean.  :;):

Are you referring to the hit location template or the damage table that accompanies the hit location table?

You can send me via e-mail what you mean and I'll resolve it.  :)

Zap: Your final ruling regarding Sanjuros suggestion on the flyer rules? I'd like to close the document for now and update the available downloadfile.  :p

found another one:

p. 31: change Break point of robots to "4", add "quickdraw" (as in the description on p. 25)

They never break. At least neither the IG nor the Squat Robots do. As a side note, I am not completely sure a point value of 150 is inteded. (both IG and Squat robots come for 100) With 150 points they are more expensive than dreadnoughts while having the restrictions robots have.

cheers

sanjuro

My Mistake, Sanjuro is correct.  NetEpic Gold core rules:

Alternate Flyer Rules

P25 - 7)Pinning - change "at high altitude" to "in the air"

P26 - 7)Pinning - change "at high altitude" to "in the air"

Yes, they are identical.  I think you could leave out the version with the fixed Gutbuster for both the Great and Slasha.

Chaos 5.1K Final (last modified 28/5/09) is the most up to date version of the Chaos book.

However, the Defiler rules discussed here have not been added.  I haven't had a chance to playtest them at all.....anyone else here given them a run?
