Hi, a question about the storm troopers: - statistic table indicates they are independent - description states "they are not bound by the chain of command" but do not indicates they are independent (whereas rough riders are independent and this is written in their description). So, are they really independent or are not just bound by the chain of command (like a non IG company) ? Thanks

If they aren't Independent, then they probably should be, I would think. |

I don't think they should be independent. Reason, independent units that fail a morale roll rout. You pay a high cost for these troops IIRC they should be exempt from the Guard Command rule and that should do. Otherwise your Elite will runaway like a bunch of teenage girls if you get an unlucky morale roll. Also not all StormTroopers are out on a limb, behind enemy lines or unable to effectively fight if out of command. They should be able to retain their discipline as they are trained to do so. |

But they should be exempt from the normal commnad rule for the Guard. |

Just checked...the latest version does not say Independent in the stats table. |

It becomes hard to know if the downloaded codex on my computer are up to date of not (I miss the 11 May update), I will re-download all the files. |
