I got a slasher Gargant in the mail today and it has a weapon on its right arm that I didnt recognize. Does anyone know if it is an original piece or has the previous owner added this from another mini?

It doesn't look like an Epic weapon.

40k:
Chaos/Genestealer Cult Autocannon?
Ork Warbike Big Shoota?

No idea what that is... but it looks good enough for the Slaasha Gargant

I think 40k autocannon of some sort is a good guess, like erik said. And I agree it looks pretty good on the model. But I think Ill replace it with a standard chainsaw, as I happen to have one lying around.

The end looks like a 40k lascannon cos it has a slanted end.
Can't be autocannon cos the autocannons end is much flatter

Have a look for Imperial guard weapons teams to see what i mean

Looks good to me though. You happy with it?

Chain Saw arms... you gotta' love 'em...

...only, don't be expecting to use it often when using your Gargant. They hardly ever get close enough unless your opponent is looking for trouble.

Just an observation but The gun you have there looks like it could pass for a slim sniper-ish belly cannon in my humble opinion... maybe if you squint and tilt your head to the side you'll see it too?..

Its one of the first generation of the 40K Ork Zzap Guns.  That being said, its still a perfect weapon for a Gargant.  Who says the Deth Kannon has to be a ballistic weapon?

I reckon a Slasha with a Snapper and 2 Chainsaws would get close enough and be really scary  :p .  You could do it with a GG too but they'd be a bit slower.  Cool against pesky Heirophants though!

Hi!

Having seen and owned virtually everything ever made for epic, I can say its a conversion/pieces from a non-epic source.

Thanks! That settles it for me, Ill replace the arm w an original saw, well aware that it will be "a challenge" to get close enough to anything to use it :-)

I intend to strip it and repaint it, most likely still in Goff colours. Together with an Evil suns Slasher and a Deathskulls Great Gargant this one will be included in my first ever Gargant mob! Hope to be able to post pictures soon...
