Back in good old days as today the Wolfguard part of a great company (its HQ troops)either had Rhinos or Landraiders as transports. The differance asfar as I can understand it is that the Landraiders and Rhinos today are NOT HQ:s. Is this a change that was deliberate or has something else happened? I do see that in the armylist all of the HQ transports in the marine armylist but the Wolfgards are HQ:s Im not saying what should be or not be. Just wanna know how it should be. /Pete |

Hi! Where does it say they are not HQ? The vehicles to the HQ units will behave as such. As far as I know nothing as changed in that regard. Primarch |

Well, I do think that the question "where does it stand that they are HQ" is better. I have tried to find it but have failed miserably. In the notes about the unit it says: "Wolf Guard Terminators: These are Wolf Guards in Terminator armor, and are the only Terminator units available to Space Wolves. They are Elite and HQ units, and have the Inspirational ability." In the summary it says: "Wolf Guard Terminator Detachment 4 Wolf Guard Terminators & 2 Land Raiders" I would like to change it to... "Wolf Guard Terminator Detachment 4 Wolf Guard Terminators & 2 COMMAND Land Raiders" Humm, perhaps there is no space for it, but I have really searched for this and I think it might have been overlooked. I do believe it should be mentioned somewhere. If not in the summary then earlier where the unit itself is described. /P-man |

Since the unit description states that Wolf Guard Terminators are HQ units, I would presume that the entire formation, including the Land Raiders, is HQ. |

Yeah, I also presumed that as sensible but it doesn't say it anywhere. In fact, the HQ rule in the core rulebook actually explicitly states the opposite...a transport carrying a HQ unit MAY be targetted normally. So to answer the question, no the Wolf Guard transports are not HQ...so watch out for that snap fire ![]() |

Humm, perhaps that is the differance between HQ and Command. Is it possible to have the transports as "Command" I made a mistake before naming them as "HQ" They should be "Command" I saw that 100% of the rest of Marine HQ transports are Command so if not it should mean that the whitewolves are one only ones with no command rhinos. Its abit strange since they were before. /P |

Seems reasonable...the Space Wolves are fairly heavily penalised already IMO so giving a couple of LRs Command shouldn't be a big deal. |
