I have a project of building a titanic legion, as I'm collecting old titan weapons, I manage to get 2 devotional bells...

But, as this "weapon" should be really rare on battlefields (a drop of Emperor blood is inside!), I'd like to know if there is a restriction of using this bell ? I suppose that there could not be more than 1 titan carrying it in any titanic legion, no ?

I don't know of any "official" restriction on using Devotional Bells, but it does make sense to limit them. One per army seems reasonable.

I get the impression that relics like the Emperors' Blood and the bits of his armour that were supposed to be in terminator armour are a lot like medieval relics - there famously being enough pieces of the 'True Cross'  "...that could be found were collected together, they would make a big ship-load."

I aggre with you that even if there is no written restriction, a "moral" restriction of 1 per army could be used ;)

I'd have thought that Emperor's blood would be really common, I mean the custodians could be syphoning it off all the time and selling it out the back door of the palace, I imagine they'd also sell off dead skin, other bodily fluids, hair etc!

I mean they've had ten thousand years of oppurtunity to make money out of him..

The bits of 'armor' could also be fragments of the golden throne that have had to be replaced over the years, I mean 10,000 years is a lot of wear and tear, surely they've had to repair it at least a little bit! XD

Ah, justification for silly things is such fun.

Don't they use other less savoury "bits" from him in Grey Knights weapons too?

The Psycannon rounds in... I think either Inquisitor or the Codex, not sure which, are described as using residue which was a 'byproduct' of the processes which keep the Emperor alive to produce their effects. XD

There used to be items like phials full of his tears in the older editions of 40K as well as I recall. Don't remember what they did, just remember they were some weird artifact/relic thing.

In the original rules for SM1 it was stated that only a custodian titan could take a devotional bell and there could only be one custodian titan per order.

That obviously meant that whatever titan took the bell had to take custodian head as well.

That sounds like a neat restriction :)

Yep, this is a good restriction:

- Devotion Bell can only be fitted on a custodian titan (warlord titan class + Devotion Bell + Custodian head)
- Single custodian titan per army

This sounds good for me ;)
