1)
can someone tell me why the mega gargant counts as a company card? counts the mega gargant as clan?

so if you play a 3.000 points battle you can take 2 mega gargant as company? and a mob of 4 Onslaughter Dreadnaughts and thats it? are there any restricts?

2)
why is the warlord titan part of the marines army list but not part of the guards list? remember: you put the warlord to the chaos standard list as an optional unit too!?

The MegaGargant is too expensive to be a special card (same for the Imperator), it's going to be the core of the army anyway, there is no use forcing the player to choose the cheapest company card just to take it.

You decide which clan it represent when you purchase it, and this count for choosing the support/special cards, and also for the "only one clan of each type" rule.

point 1)
the mega-gargant is a company card and in the standard army list. the imperator titan is a company card of the titan legion...space marines have no access to the imperator even not as a special card but the orks do have as a company...very strange

point 2)
taking allies is not an answer to my question. fact is: the warlord is part of the standard chaos list but not of the guards list...very strange, too

To answer your question, it is a Company card because it always was, and nobody had any problems with that.  Lets face it, no self respecting Ork player is going to take a Mega Gargant if they want to win anyway...the Great Gargant is much better for less points.

The Warlord always was part of the Chaos army....as a detachment card no less!  Seems fairly reasonable to expect the odd Warlord from the Heresy to be wondering around a Hell World here or there.  Remember also that the Standard Chaos list is a free inclusion into any of the major powers or CSM list, so it was the neatest way to ensure all of the Major powers had access to Warlords.  It is also fluff logical that IG do not have access to Warlords...you could argue that they should be like the PDF and have no native access to Titans.......

Hi!

The mega-gargant (even with the quite large upgrading in weapons and such) is not suitable for a "regular" games. Like the Imperator you will see it in very large games, usually 6000+ games.

I have to agree. I once played a 5000 point game with an Imperator. I found out that a 5000 point army really isn't big enough to take an Imperator. I lost the game because I didn't have enough supporting units.

Hi!

My experience exactly. In my case I don't pick those units unless its an 8000+ game.

but how could you take a imperator in a 5.000 points game?

taking an imperator titan you have to chose the titan legion as a codex army. 75% of titan legon and 25% n standad, right?

so in a case playing marines i have to take (for example) a devastator company for 1.000 points and put the rest of 3.000 points into the titan legion, taking an imperator and a reaver titan, right?...then there are 25% of standard army and 75% in codex army, right?

but that does not change anything, right?

Titan legion (75%) + Marines (25%)
Marines (25%) + Titan Legion (75)

it is just a different kind of expression, right?

Fair enough I suppose....except as a Titan Legion army you can also take stuff from the AMTL standard list.

I'd go Imperator, a Defense Company, maybe a Knight Household or two, and if I were taking Marines as allies probably a Scout Company, a Bike Company and a couple of Thunderhawks.

 yes, that could be a good forceful combination...

I dunno, the AMTL list looks pretty solid to me.  The Knight households are excellent value these days given the much greater utility of Knights in general, they get a cheapish infantry company, 2 fully mechanised ones, Leman Rus co., arguably the best Imperial SHT in the form of the Crusader (and they're real cheap), all the standard titans and access to basically any IG detachment including the scary arty.  Add in the Ordinatus and it is a fairly formidable list from what I can see.  The Adeptes Mechanicus team = Tech Priests too.
