our squat player asked me for a squat hardware book, because there are so many units he hasn?t never seen before! do you know, if there exist one?

examples: Hearthlord, Behemoth, Grudgekeeper and many more...

AFAIK there was one done for the Orks and a half completed one for IG (or maybe the other way around) and nothing for the others.  The Gold version should have pics of everything though (if WMN has got them I suppose).  The nice thing about no photos is it means you can do anything you like :)

For the Behemoth, I'm sure there was an "official" proxy because of the odd template, but I find a Cyclops chassis with a suitable rail gun turret on top works.  For Hearthlord, I use Reaver's Decimator...looks ace, but you could use the EW SHT or any of the GW/FW ones.....perhaps a good use for that odd FW Shadowblade thingy.  I've seen some nice Mk1 L-Raider conversions for some of the Squat vehicles, and I always imagined the Grudgebearer was based on the E40K Manticore, but even the Mk1 would be an ok start.

I don't use many of the new Squat vehicles. ?Just a Hearthlord and the Behemoth so far. ?I have thought about some of the DRM tanks for the smaller vehicle class tanks but haven't got around to it yet. ?I'll try and take some pics on the weekend. ?I think it was Gary Clark who did the conversions based on the Mk1 Land Raider IIRC.

If I ever manage to get a Hellbore I do plan on scratchbuilding the HellWorm...I have most of the other bits ready for the work.

perhabs you can give me a list, which shows a comparison between the original base model and the new one. then i can give it to our squat (by the way he is 1,98 m tall) :D ...and he can start modelling...

There might be pics here somewhere, and Gary has a Yahoo group that has Netepic or Epic40K in the title and there'd be pics there I think.

IIRC the Ironshield was a Mk1 Landraider with the Sponson weapons removed and a big dozerblade added.  I'd probably add the turret off the original Ork battlewagon and you could scratch some H.Bolter sponsons if you wanted.
For the Ironhammer I think he again removed the Sponsons and had a plastic Quake cannon on top.  If I was to do one I'd probably cut the tracks down so they were level with the top of the hull and mount the double barrelled turret from the Mega Gargant on top, or perhaps 2 Demolisher turrets if you have lots of spares.  An easier alternative might be the turret from the plastic Bonebreaker/Battlewagons with the gun cut shorter so it looks like a "Mega-Thunderer".
Retributor I imagine as a Leman Rus with a Multiple Rocket pack mounted either over the turret or on the rear deck.
Hellfury - maybe a Stormhammer with new, smaller "autocannon" turrets to replace the double battlecannon. (Could use the spares as the turret for the Ironhammer :)
