Now that the Tau tweak and tune is pretty much done I thought perhaps we'd move on to Dark Eldar. ?Having had 2 games with the NE5.0 list, and had a good look at them in 40K and what the guys here have done with the E:A version I have some suggestions.

- Currently the DE list looks similar to the Codex Eldar in many ways, and from my limited experience play like a second rate Eldar army. ?I think it would be good to place more emphasis on the "Slave raid" aspect of the DE, and to make their Company cards more like a cobled together force out to snatch some bodies rather than a regular army. ?
- Make all the detachments a standard size of 6inf/3veh (helps a little with a detachment heavy force, and neater).
- Raider - I'd like to set this up so it interacts with the Enslaver Battery. ?Make it so the Raider can pick up any "enslaved" stands for the extra VP as it moves along (rationale: they can have Slave Snares in 40K). ?I'd also contemplate removing the "pop up" ability, but give them Fire on the Fly instead to further encourage mobility. ?"Enslaved" stands do not count toward break points while on table, but do once captured (to further encourage the slave raid).
- Combat Drugs - Not a big fan of random effect stuff, and some combos are bad....Reavers rolling up triple move are a bit silly. ?I think take these out of the basic formations and make them an optional, fixed cost upgrade to specific Wych units. ?eg. +50 points and 1VP to equip a detachment of infantry with C.Drugs. ?Select between +1CAF, Triple Move or Fearless (or something like that)
- I think a Vampire transport equivalent for the DE is warranted. ?Straight copy of the stats + a Shadow field for an extra 50 points? ?Maybe make transports and web portals mutually exclusive.
- We could also drop the Razorwing and replace it with a Phoenix from the standard Eldar list (see Forgeworld 40K Dark Eldar). ?If not, the Razorwing needs a tweak 'cause it blows fairly hard compared to the Ravens.
- List is crying out for some Knights and a full sized Titan, but I don't think they fit the Dark Eldar theme. ?I note that the E:A list exludes AA for the same reason, but does include a large Titan.
- Should get orbital barrages to match everyone else.
- Currently have absolutely no way to affect a building ?
- Need to define Dodge and remove Gladiator.
- Dark Warlock should go.
- Incubi Cadre as a special card?
- Mandrake - replace Ambush with Infiltrate.

Sample Army cards:

- Wych Cult - Command (as current); Wych Cadre (6 Wych stands); Warp Beast Pack; Hellion Cadre.
- Raider Kabal - Command; Mandrake Cadre; 2 Warrior Cadre; Scourge Cadre
- Grotesques - Haemonculus, 7 Grotesques, 4 Raiders; 6 Talos.
- Slaver Kabal - Enslaver Battery (3), 2x Raider Squadron (3)
- Reaver and Ravagers as current.

Some minor stat tweaks. ?Grotesques and Incubi probably deserve a 5+ save. ?Reavers a -2 TSM for their Dark Lance. ?Talos maybe a 5cm move?
